Sorry if this sounds harsh, but that's a fucking retarded thing to do and you deserved to have your pass pulled--too bad they couldn't have taken it for longer. I've watched so many people duck that rope without gear and put me in danger that I hate being by the bottom of Slushman's anymore. What happens when you kick off a slide and bury six people skinning up the gully and you don't have the gear to save them? It's people like you that create strict boundary policies and make patrollers stereotype college kids, and by ducking ropes you're only helping yourself out and hurting everyone else.
And I'll admit I've ducked it before, but it was at 4:15, I had gear and a partner, and we spotted for people above and below. Does that justify it? No, it was still a stupid thing to do and now I know better. Hopefully you don't get anyone hurt when we have more open boundaries on Slushman's next year.
