Bridger 2015-16

Got my bridger pass! jut moved out here a month ago, don't really know anyone, so definitely looking for some people to meet up and ski with

I'll have a pass and will be shredding as much as my schedule allows me.

Wednesday and Friday after 10 and weekends until the fall semester is over..

Never base your fall semester around skiing, big sky opens tanksgiving, which is 3 weeks to the end of the semester and bridger doesn't open until the second week of december, which is usually dead week. Pile all of your classes and into the fall and shoot for the tuesday/thursday schedule for the spring.

ha duh, thats why I'm only skiing twice a week and won't be getting any first chairs. Unfortunate the physics program is pretty set about what classes to take when so I won't have a ton of options in the spring :/

Hit me up once the snow starts to fly and I'll talk your ear off about partial differentials and boundary value problems I spent all morning working on so I could ride the lifts in the afternoon.

Pretty stoked for Bridger. Anyone know what most MSU students without cars usually do to get to the hill?

there is a bus that leaves from the fairgrounds. or stick out yer thumb on rouse

The bus only goes to Bridger on weekends... And you have to get to the fairgrounds. Honestly without a car it is easier to get to big sky as there are a few busses every day from campus

Will probably take a trip up to Bridger this year while checking out the MSU campus. Would any of you nice folk be willing to show me around town and the resort? Also maybe a place to stay for a night? I have beacon as well so I can ski all of Bridger

Depending on when you come I may or may not be too busy with classwork/life to show you around town, but I'm staying in the dorms currently and I've got a couch i might be able to let you crash on. And I'm always game for some skiing shoot me a PM if you're interested

Alright cool thanks man.

When does Bridger usually open and have good snow? Maybe I'll come if it's open before my hill.

I might be wrong but I believe opening day is December 11th. However I'll be hiking up the surrounding mountains for skiing hopefully as soon as this weekend

Anyone picked up their pass yet? I want to know how chill they are about stupid faces and or costumes for pass pictures.

If you don't have a becon you can not ski the ridge or Slushmans. (or however you spell it)

Ya, I'd have to say it definitely still is. Its a super fun mountain with great vibes no matter what. I totally underestimated it before actually skiing it. You can always rent a beacon for like $10 to access some of the gnarliest terrain in the country.

Bridges absolutely sick. You really can't go wrong with big sky or bridger but for the price and commute bridger is where it's at. Park is certainly better at Big Sky but aside from that both mountains hold terrain for every level.

Yo! So I know this isn't everyones biggest concern when skiing at Bridger, but I'm on the park crew and if anyone has some suggestions for the park this season shoot em my way! Would love to set up a park that people enjoy hitting, so any and all suggestions are welcome

Tubes, good jump, and setting up the wall ride feature @2:15 in this vid
would be tight.

what do you think about putting the wallride parallel to the direction you're skiing with a jump up to the top to slide the top or tranny down the wall face?

Sounds sick!

Flat-downs are always sick. Isn't their a battleship rail that never came out last year? those are always fun. A well built big jump would be rad too. Also It would be nice to have at least a couple legit features in the bottom small park just to make the whole run worth it. Thanks Man!

hell yeah guys! keep the ideas coming, I've been drawing up ideas in class, so i'll try and work some of your suggestions in

a solid jump line would be sick, even if they aren't huge having step ups and step downs also make for a more interesting park. also maybe some intermediate rails in the lower park so the whole run is really useable. I've always loved the tiny bridger park but there is some room for improvement!
