im brewing my own beer for the first time right now, its been fermenting since monday.

anyone else ever try it?

My friend is insane with brewing his beer, and he has become quite good..

His beer has a little taste of fruit, and its like 7% so its awesome

Ya i do it a fairbit, but cutting back cause its starting to get to me. But ya I buy a keg of beer for 99$ plus tax canadian. so 115$ total in cans. Where i brew my beer(a small company) you can purchase kegs for parties at 90$ a keg so there are always keggers around my area cause of that awsome deal.

My dad started homebrewing this fall. Its great, I get like 4 or 5 liters whenever I go home to bring back to my house for 'sampling' parties. Making beer is amazingly easy, the hardest thing is just keeping it sterile.

so true, thats my biggest fear for my first bathch, so far though the yeast seems to be alive and well.

Yeah, I have access to an autoclaver, so its not too much of an issue luckly. However, bleach works just fine.

I made some kind of alcoholic beverage out of apple cider I let ferment for a month. Didn't taste half bad.

Hard Cider is actually kinda difficult for me for some reason. Both in taste and manufacturing. Our cider came out really yeasty and uncarbonated, kinda sour too. But seriously, hard cider sucks, Strongbow is the bitch beer of England.

Haha, I wasn't really trying to make hard cider. I just forgot about it in the refridgerator at it did it all on it's own. It even had a little carbonation to it.

yeah tried doing beer once. Its hard man, dont expect it to be super delicious the first time around, but if your patient keep trying at it. Its hards to get a flavour you want and really have to play with the amount of yeast and hops(or whatever youll be using for flavour) your gonna be putting in. But if you manage to not drink it all right away, let it sit a couple weeks, it actualy improves the quality.

we bottled it, we tasted some, it was flat and warm(which we expected), but it tasted waaaaaay better than we expected. it's actually drinkable.

next time we wont use malasses though.

im makeing moonshine this summer, just to say i did. its not that hard from the sounds of it, just makeing the still but what ever...
