Brett Favre playing for the vikings?

I think the whole situation is hilharious. I hope he does play for the vikings, so I can watch all the Packers fans herre in WI who have alwyas been on his dick cry when he plays for their hated enemy.

word. i respect him and think he was one of the best qbs the league has seen, but he needs to chill. He had a dec year last year but it is time for him to hang it up. then again it would be nice to have someone other than a retard for qb for a change. i wouldn tmind having him for one year cuz hes better than what we got.

I would love it if he came here. The vikings need a quarterback so bad and he would fit really well if they could get him to commit for two years. I'm sick of the drama but I don't think any vikings fans would complain. If the line gave him some time to throw and kept him healthy, he would open some options for the offense instead of beating AP to death.

Also the Vikings-Packers rivalry would be epic. It kind of died a little last year but this would bring it to a whole new level. I say bring him in.

i think it is rediculas i use to live in green bay for 6 years and i was the biggest fan of Brett but now idk what he is trying to do. i met the guy and my dad had dinner with him and said he was a super nice guy and my dad never would have thought he was one of those guys that would turn on a team let alone a hole town/ state i still love him but i think he needs to think about what he is doing. he might rowen his rep.

Agreed. I just think it's his time to hang it up, and I'm also kind of tired of the whoe retiring, oh i want to play, retiring thing.

The Vikings would be dumb to do this. Sage Rosenfels IS their man, and it should stay this way.

Why?

He has a career 81 QB Rating, as a backup, meaning he was thrust into his role, and was not prepared, the most games he has ever played in his career in one season is 9, he also has been with the Texans and Dolphins his whole career, two teams that until last year, were for the most part bottom feeders on the NFL (Dolphins were not as bad as the 1-15 they posted 2 season ago, but still did not have the potential the Vikings have)

The Vikings have SO much young talent on offense, they need to establish this, and not fuck around by bringing in Favre for a year, they need someone who can be their QB for 3+ years at LEAST, because they have a solid O-line, and the best young offense in the NFL besides their QB position (Peterson, Rice, Berrian, and newly drafted Harvin). Bringing in someone like Favre who IMO is equal to Rosenfels in talent, who would want a nice sum of money for 1 year, and who could only contribute for 1 (MAX of 2 years) just makes no sense.

The Vikings have so much potential, and like I said earlier, I think in 2 years they could have the best offense in the NFL.

So what other team has a better offense that is centered almost completely around young players? Berrian has games where he just goes off on defenses, which elads me to believe that if he can get a QB that he is comfortable with, he could be a absolute monster, and Rice is a great red zone threat because of his huge 6'4'' frame and above averege ups. Harvin you can't say will do shit in NFL because there are so many players that are expected to do great and do shit, and plays who are expected to do shit, and do great, so right now all is just speculation as far as Harvin gos, because you cant say for sure he will do shit or for sure will be great.

me either. i think he honestly just loves football too much to leave it. but then be a coach or something, his time is up on the field

I apologize for the hostility, It is a habbit I have against bears fans after growing up in Green Bay, and now going to College in Marquette, which is half made up by Chicago kids, and while it may have lowered my hostility towards chicago kids, it has strengthened my anger at Bears fans. My room mate from the chicago area ratting on me for pot didn't help either. I have a feeling my anger towards bears fans will be greatly reduced in 3 days while I am out of here. But since you are not from illinois, but from wisconsin, at least you don't drive like a FIB.

im sorry, but i have to do this....

"WWWWAAAAHHHH!!!! you want to trade me?! do you know who i fucking AM?!?! im JAY FUCKING CUTLER... got drafted 3 years ago and have a losing record and you want to TRADE ME?!?! BOOHHOOOOO...."

3 days later...

"GIVE ME A TRADE!!!!"

2 days later....

"i actually dont really wanna be traded i was just joking."

that day....

"oh, lets sell my house, and my parents house here in denver..."

fucking DOUCHEBAG CRY BABY!!!!!!

I think it would be awesome. I hope Favre plays for six different teams in the next six seasons. He's extended his stay in the NFL too long already, so why not stretch it out some more?

Its pretty easy to key on the one player that gets the ball and is the only possible playmaker when your quarterback sucks. You're right, I would compare T-Jack to a high school player... yes he is that bad. As is the POS Philly product coach. So many good coaches available but no, we need to keep a guy who should be grading biology papers. How the hell did he make it into the NFL?

First of all.

When I say young... I mean 28 or younger. I shouldn't have even called Berrian young, while he is 28, he is definately on the edge. And yes Rice is a red zone threat, almost any 6'4'' reciever or TE w/ hops is a red zone threat, the problem is that he has had way too many QBs throwing him the ball over his career. And FYI... Reggie had less rushing yards than Deuce McAllister AND Pierre Thomas last season, get your facts straight. And in being that the Vikings have a young recieving corps, of course they do nto have the best recieving corps, or even anything close to that, but in 2-3 years, they could have a top 3 recieving corps for sure. The same goes for the Eagles, both teams have very similar recievers (Berrian akin to Jackson, Baskett to Rice, and Harvin to Maclin.)

By the way, I'm not even a Vikings fan or anything close to it

im a huge packer fan, key word there being packers not brett. I absolutly hated the "im a brett fan, not a packer fan" mentality that so many people had, walking around in their favre jets jerseys in Wisco. Brett was the man and helped us do so much. However all the shit he put us through was ridiculous and I was so pissed for a while last summer, but am over it. I would actually like to see him play for the vikings so we can beat their asses with him on the field.

tavaris is a piece of shit...i'll take ryan leaf over him...but i'm standing by my point where harvin will be a dominate player in our offense...so many teams will key AP and berrian and rice especially in the redzone...that there will be nobody left to cover harvin.

that just sounded really dumb. its one game. you go in with a 50/50 shot at winning. so you beat us once. big fuckin deal. you didnt make our qb look like a hs player, its because he IS a HS player. and its pretty easy to shut down one guy when hes all you have to watch cuz our qb coulnt hit a house if that was his target.BTW your team didnt win either.

For the record SKiHeaven I am a HUGE Eagles fan as well, I would go as far as to say biggest on the site, but with 125,000 members, I bet there might be one or 2 who are bigger fans than I am. But I am just calling it like I see it. Right now I think the Eagles have a better offense then the Vikings, and that is unbiased btw, but I was just saying that if the Vikings had a QB like McNabb (who I am a huge supporter of, fuck everyone who thinks he should leave Philly) they would have just as good of an offense as us. With that being said, the Vikings and Eagles are so similar on offense it is rediculous... the only difference really is the QB situations. Nice to see another Eagles fan on here.
