Breck park warning

Yo! Ski Patrol and Saftey are going to be pulling pass's for any speeding violations going down 4 o'clock. Yes that is the only way to the park but I guess we are going to fast. I saw 4 people today get there pass taken, be warned and spread the word.

ok i guess i will slow down. Don't want my pass gone. On another note, why is chair 5 closed for the season
 
Well there isn't any snow on it right now, and it might not be worth the trouble since it's the slowest lift in existence.
 
more importatly, wil you do what Breck should have done years ago, and put a rope tow in Freeway and Parklane? It would make everything so much better...bring Breck up to number 1 gauranteed.

I don't really know how rope tows work, or if it would be possible, but what if they made the rope tow like a square, instead of having two sides, one up and one down, make a massive one that goes through both Park Lane and Freeway...It could be absolutely amzing.
 
are you talking poma ish rope tow, necessary to get on from the bottom or just get on where ever actual hang on to the rope tow. Either way, that would also be mad slow because of the fact that it would take a long time but i would use it no question
 
get on anytime rope tow, and I have seen ones that go when they are empty at 15-20 mph, with lots of people less, but imagine, sessioning 1 rail and not hiking...
 
that would make sense tho. and you know vail resorts is the king of NFZ's (no fun zone) so it most likely wont happen.
 
I can pretty much guarantee that VR or any other resort isn't going to be adding any kind of surface lift to a park anytime soon. They barily have enough money to put new tp in the on mountain crappers. There was going to be a new poma lift going up to the very top of Golden Peak. They were going to cut a or some new runs that would be race hills for ski club vail. I think they might have been adding a mogul hill too. Anyway, we were told at the beginning of the season that that project was on hold.

Once the economy improves a little, that might be the way to get something like that done. Get the Breck Freestyle club/team in on it. Get the parents to put some pressure on and they may add something like that.

Maybe one of you guys could get creative and invent a new surface lift. Pomas are OK, but if you have a ton of guys lapping the park, the line could be insane. Old school T-bars haul 2 people up the hill, but they are kind of deadly especially for kids. They like to lift kids off the snow, turn them sideways and then body slam them. Rope tows were crap. About the 3rd time you went up one you had to buy a new pair of gloves. If you tried going without gloves your hands would look like a 15 years old's whose girl freind just dumped him. Hey how about a magic carpet? How funny would it be to see a bunch of NSers copping Z's and drueling on their way up to the top of the park. ;-)
 
Handled rope tows. They are the shit, and you can put a handle like every five feet. It won't happen, Breck would much rather spend 11mil on a gondola so that you have to ride a bus then take two lifts to use it...instead of a rope tow that costs what? 30-50k? If that? VR doesn't seem to realize, that they need to help out the people who work for them. Most of the people they hire are kids, and why are the kids moving out after hs or college? Because the park, not because of the groomers or new gondola. and they need to do something for the people loyal to them

and handled rope tows are the shit compared to just ropes. the one at 7 springs tears gloves up like crazy.
 
ya man. i like keystone better than breck and part of htat is that the lift situation for lapping brecks park sucks ass
