Thanks for maintaining the best park in North America with pride. I haven't gone over to Breck due to the lift lines for about 3 weeks, but I'm glad I stood in them today (well, before they fizzled out around noon). I almost forgot how it feels to hit real jumps in Freeway (holy shit those are the tits), and all the rails were pristine. Halfpipe = Sex. I had an awesome day, so lone_wolf, go pat your boys on the back. I'm stoked on such a great day right now and I needed to share :)
 
the ACTUAL crew, go pat them on the back. The supervisors? They can go fuck themselves. I got fired today for basically not being a bend-over ass kisser. Fuck Breck. The ACTUAL WORKERS on the crew are awesome, the people in charge are idiots. Just take note how much stuff gets rutted out on sat-tuesday.......shit like doing ONE rake run for the entire day? complete bullshit.

haha i meant with the one rake per day, but it was jokes. Keystone is way better about grooming than they used to be.
 
On certain days, the amount of work done depends on the mood of the supervisor, not what should or needs to be done, heh. Usually the crew knows better than that though.

can't go to any other resort this season......economy is shit.....and no one is hiring. Just gonna have to make do in the area until I can go somewhere next season. AWESOME TIME to not have a job, thanks breck.
 
You got fired for not kissing ass? Damn. They are firing so many people right now. My ex got fired a month ago because he failed a piss test, and his chick friend got fired for bitching out the CEO of Vail Resorts.
 
its kind of ironic how I got yelled at for being hungover at work (not why I got fired), when the people yelling at me are SMOKING POT ON THE JOB. Yea really makes sense, "Oh we dont want to fire you but we have to stick to vail resorts policies" Yea what about the fuckin policy of not smoking while you are working, how bout that one shitbag. Oh wait I don't smoke, ok go ahead and fire me, cause I actually do work unlike you dbags.

guess they figured all their parks are built for the season, so why keep paying their freeway tester.....rookies are cheaper.
 
I have now been blacklisted by vail resorts because one of my supervisors thought it would be cool to rat me out for hiking. Good bye summit county, your parks are run by a bunch of shitcakes. Moving to denver, then hello tahoe. Think twice before you thank the local park crew. Whether they had a hand or not, no one lifted a finger to stand up for me.....and you guys know I take my job very seriously. Goodbye summit county.

He was fired for legitimate reasons and will not take responsibility for his actions and is coming to NS for sympathy.

As for calling out his previous co workers, i think that is rather low of him.

If the supervisors are so lazy, then why has Breckenrige been voted the top park for serveral years by both skiers and snowboarders alike? Perhaps it's because 8 years of experience of making an epic park hasnt failed them. They know their shit.

Maybe you should think of what you say and where you say it. Realize that you made a mistake, YOU fucked up. Stop blaming the people that fired you and worked with you, and take a look at who brought it upon himself.

And no, it is not low for me to call out co-workers. I would take anyone's side should an issue arise, cause I had no beef with anyone, and got along just fine. The fact that I got canned over some bullshit, and no one lifted a finger is a load of crap. Talk about "teamwork".

The supervisors are lazy and you know it. Why is it that over 90% of the time, you go off on your own and start doing work without even being told? Why is it that I will hotlap park lane and see you the ONLY one working while the rest of the crew is no-where to be found? Honestly, I make nothing up, I am in the parks more than the park crew itself, so I know when shit is being done, and when it isnt. Breckenridge has NOT been top park by both boarders and skiers alike. Yea it got #1 by freeskier last year, but it was below 5 by transworld. I would not consider that a top rating. Yea they know their shit, but 99% of that falls upon the cat drivers who build it, not the poundtown supervisors who run the crew. Flat-downs after flat downs, along with identical setups of the previous year? Cmon.....thats just not "setting yourself up for success"

You have no fucking idea what went on other than the bullshit that Pete and Brian have fed you. Thats the main reason I got canned because of those fucks conspiring amongst themselves, and never even asked me a single god damn question at all. There are two sides to every story, and you have only heard one and just are prep, ready, express checkout ready to pass judgement on me.

I am not looking for sympathy, I am calling out the Breck park crew for being the hypocritical POS that it is.

Shelli, seriously, stop believing the bullshit Pete and Brian are spewing. Pete is a god damn rookie, even compared to you. And if you believe that bullshit, you have some nerve. I did everything I could to help you get that job, and now you turn around and stab me in the back. Just plain awesome. Congrats on your second chance with working on a park crew....too bad I can't get the same cause SOMEONE ratted me out and got me blacklisted. (no not you). You ALONE know how seriously I took this job, how much I loved it, how long I have been doing it, and how dedicated I was to it.

So to the lone wolf, comming from someone with ovwer 20 years in this industry published in 5 movies and freinds with some of the top riders in the industry, not to mention the connections and sponcers. Props on showing up anonymously (though judging by your spelling, its obvious who you are). making allegations of slander, when there are no grounds for such a thing, and speaking of attorneys, on a simple message board. The little insult quip at the end is pretty cute too. I was fairly over it and about to move on until someone came back and called me out. My actions are irrelevant to everything I have said. I am still dealing with the consequences, so I think I'm taking the responsibility. Props on ruining my life, and my career.

I realize you work in the 'snow sports industry' and don't think you need to write above a fourth grade level because it isn't applicable to your job and you are sitting pretty making 35 large a year with benefits. But come on, educate yourself.

This is fucking park crew, how do you even fire people from that? They get paid shit, bent over by Vail Resorts, wake up early, deal with gapers all day and shred occasionally. Let them do their job high, drunk, hungover or angry. They do a good job maintaing the best park in the world. Yes it might not innovative year to year, but it still the best maintained park I have ever rode and a good deal of that goes out to the cat drivers and park crew.

 
Thats right,you dont need to be a high school graduate,or spell correctly or have great gramer and yet the lone wolf still got fired from one of the simplest jobs out there and Im shore its not going to be the last job he will be fired from. Lets face it, breck park crew is the best in the nation and you have to be elite and to stay on the crew. All it takes is show up on time do your job. Why would the best park staff keep on someone who doesnt show up for work and cant even do his job correctly.He isnt the first to be fired and he wont be the last. Thats how you build the best team, out with the weak and in with the strong. Why do you think our stuff rides the best,by molding a crew that can get it done right everyday year after year. Breck has been one of the leaders for years and you dont do that with week crew members who cant do there job. I mean we are the best park according to freeskier magazine. You cant do that with hung over drunk kids on your crew. If you want to be a lush work at bubba gumps. Being a tester, HA! Thats a good one, I lost track of the number of times the lone wolf knuckled jumps, and I mean all of them. All the guys on the crew test all the jumps and to say your the only tester is a joke. I mean when you cant clear a 30ft jump or come 15ft short on a 60 footer just give up or quit. I had to come out of a two year retirement to jump something the lone wolf couldnt get the courage to hit, and sent it the first time because thats what i do, I clear jumps every time. Good thing our jumps arnt like the old days when they were 80 footers, he would have a blown knee by now. But anyway, the crew is why everything looks the way it is and we will move on making the best product out there,maybe the lone wolf should move on...far far away. Thats all, get over it, we already have....By the way, when you ski with out poles your a skiblader, not a freerider. Keep up the good work park crue, c u on the hill, fita out...for good.

 
You are talking about professionalism when you are shit talking someone that you fired on an open forum? I am sure Vail Resorts would love to see this pissing match from an employee. You're a supervisor, you get paid more to shut your mouth in situations like this, not act like an 8 year old.
The man has grounds to bitch, he got fired from a shit job and wanted to take it out on someone. But if you can't find a new job in Breck in March you might be retarded.

And since when are there girls on the park crew? I am not trying to be misogynistic, well I am, but I wouldn't want someone setting up features if they can't really hit them. Why would you let someone grooms the lips in Freeway if she can't even straight air the big line?
 
Normally, i would agree with you, as its always best to have the people maintaining the stuff they hit as well. But in this case, she is an exception./ Puts more effort and work into everything than most of the crew, and does an awesome job.

What the fuck are you trying to get at? While I was riding Breck the only member of the Park Crew I saw do a remotely good job was LW, he was the only employee that was in the park at the beginning of the season and he was throwing down.
Getting personal isn't something that you should be doing, threatening with attorneys is bullshit son. You as far as i remember are a supervisor and part of the problem. Rather than getting fored up here you should be thinking, huh? maybe this kid has a point, maybe we could d a better job at supporting our staff or changing up the features, and definitely getting a better preseason park up next year. But you won't and you know why? Because you are fucking comfortable with your position, you couldn't give a shit what happens because your pay is safe as long as Freeskier and other bullshit corps keep ranking you in the top 5.
You are what is wrong with this sport/culture.
Parks such as Loon are destroying you in terms of creativeness and new features. You are lazy with the funding and amount of snow you have. Tell me what you've done differently over the past three seasons with features? Then look at the east coasters working with almost no snow yet still managing to destroy you with new features and creative setups. When you put the effort in to keep at the top then I will take my hat off to you and congratulate you, but until then I will see you as a typical bum, uneducated and more stoked on drinking and smoking than getting crazy in your job.

First of all we are not "freeriders", were freeskiers, so that includes skiing with out poles. Lone_Wolf also did more of a job than you could of ever done cause he not only kept the members of this site informed on the conditions at breck, but also was also a volunteer PR agent for Vail Resorts with out anyone of you even knowing. From my 35 days of skiing at breck I legitimately saw LW the most out of any of you other guys. Now you and the people that have fired Lone_Wolf have ruined NS's inside source for info about breck. I'd say that that was a big mistake.
 
to fita the idea of any park crew being elite is hilarious. you push snow around with a rake. but now that i think of it, most ski bum jobs could be done by monkeys, including mine. to lw sucks you got banned from vail resorts. regardless of what really happened that sounds particurally harsh/unnecessary.
