im heading up to breck this weekend for sat and sun. anyone know any fun places to hang out or see during the summer? ill prob be spending a lot of time up there during the next couple years.

 
climb up quandry peak... its a 14er right over town. or if you are a little more inclined, do the lincoln group (democrat, lincoln, and bross). these are all 14ers that are fun and high.

see if you can find any progress on the new chairlift up there when you go too. the one up the imperial bowl

new chairlift? Breck's putting in a new chairlift? When did that go into effect? Man I'm out of the loop!!

aight... ill try to get some pics of that lift if i go hiking. i read the article about it a week ago or so... soooo sick. its goin to the top of peak 8 and opening up all the terrain that took over an hour of hiking (it was for me at least) to get to.

 
i could hear the chopper up there airlifting the posts for the lift but it was too cloudy to get a good pic. sorry guys.

 
So there is a lift going to the top of peak 8? i'm not sure what to think about that. Good not to have to hike, but bad because it will get tracked out so fast. Plus, it will probably be closed for bad weather so much.

They are not openning the lift until like Jan. 6th though...how great would it be if they build lifts to the tops of Peak 9 and 10 as well and opened up all that out of bounds stuff...it would spread the crowds out a ton.
