Breal night conditions

I'm reluctant to spend any dough on Boreal if it's going to be an ice-sheet at night. Anyone who can elaborate on this?

look at the day time highs. Try showing up at 3:30 as well. On days where the highs on in the fifties it's usually good alot longer.

Night conditions are not going to be that great anywhere, at any mountain...its the end of the day and getting colder hence the icy conditions.

thats one reason why night passes are so much cheaper.

night riding is what it is...if you want good consitions come in the daytime..its that simple

keystones night park=same.

midwest night parks=same.

as far as i can tell its caused by two things....

1. skied off during the day.

2. temps above freezing during the day dropping below freezing at sundow.

anyways, its 99 bucks dude.....to ski the only place on the north shore open at night, whats the risk?

does anyone one know if the expression session was cancelled last friday because of the snowy conditions? and if it will be rescheduled for this friday?

Easy... Just wondering if there was any grooming for the night sesh. No biggie. I'll wait for the next storm.

Sorry, we just get tons of comments about the snow conditions being icy at night and people want us to do something about...we can't, unless we can sweet talk mother nature into bending the laws of physics to change the freezing properties of water.

You don't reallly ski Boreal at night for the snow conditions, I mean it is likely to be cold and icy once the temperatures drop. But for such a cheap price, it's fun to just kick it in the park at night.

she nailed it, kick it, keep things mellow.....and go big during the day.

btw, keystone actually grooms everyday from 4-5 on all of their night runs including the park (not pipe) and its still icy.

If you want un-icy night conditions, go to Mt. High or Bear mtn. in So-Cal.

Then again, the only reason its not icy at night is because its like 40 degrees still...
