hey guys, recently bought some Ft classics, i have size 10.5 shoe and i got 28.5 boots. ive never had new boots before, so idk what its like, for the first few runs felt good, but then i couldnt figure out the tightness i liked, when it was tight it hurt, and when it was in between my heel would slide up when i landed switch. and i would get toebang.. please help. im 15 so my feet will grow if there to big, my foot touches the end and they fit perfect other wise..

Size 10, 25 Solomon boots. Go back to the shop, see if you can get into smaller boots, have them double toe cap when they heat. You should be like fort knox in your boots, not slipping around. Also, footbeds.

Yep just as everyone else said, thre prob a bit big for you. The fact you need to do them tight when there new indicates this. Really in new boots you should barly be able to do them up they will be that tight.

Prob best trying to find a new shop. If your fitter did not tell you to get custom footbeds he is not a boot fitter. Take them to a good shop and see what they think. If they agree that they are too big, take them back to the first shop and get your money back.

if i wore thick socks and thin socks will it wreck the liners and make them to big for when my feet grow? if they are truely to big its only half a size.

Yeah if you wear thick socks then you will just pack the liners out faster and they will fit worse.

There areno half sizes in boots, so they will be at least a full size to big. Your boots are the equivalent of a 27 in normal boots and its more lickly based off your shoe size that you would be a 25 or 26. You may be a 27 but its unlickly.

Honestly the best bet if they aretoo big is to take them back and get a smaller size. They will only get worse. Take them to a good shop and have them shell check them, that way you know if they are too big.

there not super big, and ive used them twice and i dont feel like returning them to my work, not the smartest idea.

What do you mean return them to your work? Do you work at the shop that fitted them? If you did then ho good is the fitter, how many years experience does he have?

Regarding taking them back its better to do it after 2 days then struggle with them for say 10 days, and have the shop refuse to take them back as you skied too much in them.

Regarding the spk, its more lickly those too were too big as well. The spk has a low instep though, so It could have been this that kept your foot back better in the boot. But if your in a boot too big, eventually it will pack out and your foot will slide forward when you ski, making you think they are too small.

What size was your un-weighted measurement?

Just wait it out .. give it atleast 5 days minimun and it gets better i promise. I remember those first few days being hell ... had to go take them off every couple laps for 10 mins because it hurt. nowadays they are dreamy. size 10 feet, got 28 FTs but seths.

I put my footbeds from my spks imbetween the rigid bootboard and the intuition liner and they fit way better, just hope it wont effect performance

^Not really. All you did was basically fill the large shell with a riser under your liner. All that will happen though is the liner will pack out and you will be in the same boat again.

Its good that it helped for now, but be aware this is not really a long term fix.

I wear a 10.5 and a 28.5 shell boot. Granted I have Fischer RC4 Vacuum's... but still it isn't as far fetched as it may seem. However back to the thread. The footbed will help but your shell size may still be too large. I have heard about J shaped foam inserts for around your ankles to help keep your heel anchored down.
