you guys are dicks saying you feel no remorse and shit. ya you didnt know anyone on there and had nothing to do with it but its sad to say the least. maybe someday someone in your fam will die in a plane crash and hopefully you wont be sad then either.
 
it's not human to hear about hundreds of innocent people killed in a terrible crash that could've happened to any of us and to feel NO remorse or anything. there's something wrong with you two. you realize that could have been anyone right? it could have been you or someone you love on a plane that was here in the states or canada. can you not feel for these people have have lost someone they loved? jeezm fuck kids, get a heart.

people dying is just something you have to get used to. yea it sucks and im not saying i dont care about these people and their families but you have to learn that this sort of thing happens. of course its sad but seriously what do you want me to do about it?
 
the thing is, someone in my family has died. i was sad then but now i dont really feel anything, people die and i dont see what the point of getting all sad over somehting that you cannot control the least bit... sorry if i offended you, but i still feel nothing over this. it easily could have been avoided as well, it was only a matter of time before it happened.
 
i feel bad for the families and friends that knew people on the plane. However, people die everyday all over the world and you can't be sad over every death or else you will always be sad

it's a shame to see this happen... they should have foreseen this apparently pilots have been complaining that the runway there was too short and even just this week 2 other planes skidded off the runway (at least i think thats what the news said this morning correct me if im wrong) its things like these that i dont understand because it could have been easily prevented.
 
Wow, my bad, the plane was landing. I even read the article before.

The difference between this and the example, Darfur, is that this can easily, well, not that easily, happen to any of us. The plane was an Airbus A320. Those fly all over the world, and throughout the US. People care because right now, people you know might be flying on one, and apparently all it takes is a slippery runway.

The same thing happened with An Air France plane a few years ago in Toronto, but no one died. Probably cause they didn't hit a building.
 
im the same age as you and im showing your hypocrisy on calling me the names you did. your full of shit. i never said obama was war crazed. 200 dead brazilians doesnt bother me. it was an accident, im much more concerned with the children in palestine and iraq who are dying and being mutilated, and not because of accidents. hundreds of thousands of people die every die. should we have a daily thread about how shitty it is? it is obscenely hypocritical to say its required to feel bad about this and im a bad person for not feeling bad about 190 dead in a south american plane crash when you obviously dont feel bad about the people who have died because of murder, not accidents in the very recent past.
 
every time you've brought up obama the only thing you say about him is about how he supports all of these terrible wars, which lead me to think you believe him to be all about war (even calling him pro-war). and i'm not saying that we need to talk about every single tragedy that's going on every second of every day in this mixed up world of ours. all i was saying was that when something like this is brought up, at least say RIP or something (or nothing it all), don't say "who cares" because that's just callous and unfair.
 
when i heard this it scared the crap outta me cause i just got back from brazil 2 days ago. I was in the sao paulo airport staying there TWO DAYS AGO! I FLEW TAM AIR, same exact plane style. And i was there when that same storm was pouring, i even thought to myself this is scary taking off cause its soo wet out. I cant even believe that happened its like not even hitting me yet crazyy......

yea, the news centers on bad things like natural disasters, diseases, accidents, murder/death, terrorists, war, and crime. noone wants to hear about good things happening, bad events appeal to the public. it gives them an adrennaline rush. when the world focuses on shit like that all the time, you just learn to ignore it. only 200 people died. whey does it matter the number of people who died. weather its 1 or 1000000 people that die, theres still people that will miss them. why is this accident any different than another. it was brazils airports fault for not grading the runway after maintaining it.

 
anyone can die at any time man. its not like that airport is the only place people die. death is a common and natural thing. why make such a big fuss over someone elses point of view on the subject?
