Its crazy to think about it. They have never seen anybody from outside their village, and do not know anything whats going on in the world. And Now the whole world is looking at them, shooting their arrows. It would be like we are sitting on the terrace in front of our house, and a ufo would fly by. The Aliens take a picture of us, and the whole universe is discussing about a new race discoverd on a remote planet named earth ...
 
the males are most likely using a yellow or red ocher, a kind of natural clay found in the earth, while the females could be using a charcoal based paint...im just assuming this tho, no sources here
 
I want to live with them, it would be so cool to live oldschool and not hav 2 think about any of this modern day shit.
 
except, of course, we wouldn't know that the whole universe is talking about us. or even what a UFO was

 
thats so ridiculous. its amazing to think people that have yet to have contact with the outside world still exist.
 
as if we are still finding HUMAN races on this planet...Just imagine what else is in front of our eyes that we haven't seen (cough*readmylatestblogentry*cough*)
 
So epic, it is inevitable that they will come into contact with the outside world eventually, it is just so amazing that they are still living like that.

It does make so much sense though, the land they are living on provide very little means for technological expansion. They have most likely been harvesting the same crops, and relying on the same food sources ever since they started.

I wish I could remember the movie that was done about this, it explained why we have third world countries and why some areas, Eurasia for example, have becoming booming economic powerhouses.

When I can remember the name I will be posting it here because it is, quite possibly, the MOST intelligent movie ever made.
 
This made me think, if these people can be so blissfully unaware of the world going on around them, what kind of things could be going on in the universe all around us that we are too primitive to take notice of?

Perhaps these people dismiss childrens thoughts of an outside world, just as we dismiss childrens thoughts of aliens and such?
 
Ok the book and movie are called Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond.

Honestly if you have not seen them, or heard of them. Please do yourself a favor and look into it.

i find this amazing.  that we are just now finding a tribe that has been there for soo long, and like everybody else is saying, what else are we oblivious too..
 
For all we know this tribe could have the cure for cancer in some sort of medicine they make, but should they make contact with them?
 
I've read this book and it is truly enlightening I must say. Definitely worth a careful read, and more then one.
 
Either way they are fucked. We've discovered them so we're going to a) kill them via some disease they can't handle, or b) blow their minds with the existance of the world around them.

haven't there been discoveries like this in the past that have been discovered to be fakes? As in the gov. or just a group of people did this to gain worldwide attention
 
wow, thats reallly amazing. to believe they haven;t had contact with ANY of the outside world which has been here for so long... is mindblowing. wow those pictures were awesome, and its very interesting.
 
thats crazy, it almost scares me..they look pretty freaky, painted all the different colours and stuff..think how amazing it would be for them to discover how the rest of humankind are living and to show them modern technology. Imagine taking them to a huge city like new york or something, they'd probably be terrified
 
That's amazing. I can't imagine what those people must be thinking seeing a helicopter fly past after living in the same way for thousands of years.
 
they look like the aliens from the movie Earth Girls Are Easy. lot of you kids are probably too young to remember that movie.
 
who knows maybe they think the helicopter is some kind of god and now they'll start worshipping it. kind of makes you think that maybe all the religions are bases off of something like this..people seeing somethign they dont understand and mistaking it for some supernatural force that they grow to worship
 
holy shit, could you imagine hiking through that jungle, and just finding a bunch of red and black and orange people who want to shoot arrows at people.

I was thinking the same thing. I figure that if we leave them alone and come back in 100 years or something they will have a legend or fable about a giant bug or bird, or something wild.

what if they have diseases that we don't and could wipe us out?

assuming this is real... What if they are bloodthirsty cannibals? and its weird how this is let out around the time the new Indiana Jones movie comes out. With all these things said it might be cool for at least a group of people to make contact with them.
