Brakes

I get why binding companies don't sell spare brakes, they want you to buy a new pair. I think that is fucked up because at least twice a year someone is stabbed in the chest by a ski because of a ski without brakes.

Every shop I've been to has been able to order/ had in stock another pair of breaks for my skis. Only costs like $50.

Pivot brakes? wtf seriously? When did they start doing this shit because I remember trying to find pivot brakes about a year and a half ago and couldn't find them.

This is actually true, pain in the ass to find as of last fall

OP is still a turd, tho

You can replace brakes for pretty much any binding for about $30, except pivot/fks brakes. It is possible to swap pivot/fks brakes but it is a huge time consuming pain in the ass and shops won't even touch them. It took my friend at the DPH in SLC about an hour and a half to swap one pair.

Yeah. I just got my first pair of pivots. Maybe used them 6 times. Brakes are gone. Some asshole in the ski shop broke them. I said they won't bent back, we need to cut the bad one off and he refused to listened cause I am a dumb park kid and fucking broke my binding

about to do surgery on my FKS brakes because they aren't replaceable. pray for me

This has been me for the past few years... I feel you

I know the Salomon STH series has easy brake replacements. I always go into shops and ask for them, then buy a few sets to have laying around.

Anyone know where I can buy invincible brakes? I've landed switch a few times and caught the little black thing in the snow and ripped them clean off a number of times...
