So I just need to know if putting a 100mm brake on an 84mm ski will affect the skis performance at all/

dont think so, but why u no put 90mm brake?

Should be alright. As long as your careful in not tearing them off. Mine went over the ski by like .5cm and were broken off with in like 2 weeks.
