anyone ever been there before? i have to go there this weekend for some family stuff and i was just wondering what it was like.

 
i usually take a few trips up there in the summers to go golfing at all the killer courses up there. one of my roomates is from there too. and to clear it up, it's absolutely nothing like the movie fargo

There is a very small hill about ten-fifteen miles north of town called Ski Gull. logically, it's on Gull Lake. You should check it out and report back. I'm up in that area all the time but in the summer.

haha ski gull is horrible. it has to be the worst ski place ever, it takes like 2 seconds to get down the hill.

 
it was cool when Paul bunyon land was still around. Paul and Babe standing at the entry greeting you, those were the days.

I go up there every once and a while. Not the most happenin place. I would bring something to read or a bike for some urban assault

yeah i used to play soccer up there every fall-not the most happenin place around. cragun's resort is awesome, though...

 
my grandma used to have a cabin a few miles north of Mille Lacs on Big Pine. We still go up there cause the people next door she sold it to rent it out to our family about a month each summer
