Brady vs manning debate over?

whoa maybe you should go watch superbowl 36 again. the final score was 20-17, and the game ended in regulation. last time i checked, its mathematically impossible to score 4 field goals and 2 touchdowns and get 20 points. vinatieri banged 2 field goals. yes ty law did pick 6 kurt warner, but the other touchdown drive was not 14 yards, in fact im pretty sure the touchdown play (a pass to david patten) was like 30 yds or something. the pats won in regulation, and tom got the ball with about a minute and a half left, and marched down the field. there was a time constraint--it wasnt OT

the final score of superbowl 38 was 32-29. had vinatieri missed the fg, we woulda been tied and we woulda gone to overtime. even still, my point in saying that vinatieri cant win a superbowl with 3 points is not that he can't decide the outcome at the time, but rather that tom still has to play well for 59.5 minutes in order to give adam the chance to win

its good to see a rival fan admit tom is an amazing qb :D

but that reminds me, i wanted to point this out. im not the pats fan that say "I HATE THE COLTS PEYTON MANNING IS A PUSSY BLAHHHHHH"

i look forward to the colts pats game every year not so i can call peyton a pussy, but to watch how football should be played. the 2 best teams of the decade, the 2 best qb's of the decade, theres just nothing like it. this past year's game was one of the most incredible games ive ever seen, and even though the pats lost, it was really fun to watch

i laughed out loud when i saw heyward bey mentioned on this.

even if hes a pats fan, andy ju knows his shit unlike most of the kids that post about football on here.

you're right.... my bad. I was just so anxious to bash Tommy boy that I didn't get my facts straight!

As a pats fan, are you scared of Mark Sanchez at all? He played remarkably well as a rookie....... His mechanics are most impressive, and he seems incredibly poise and exudes incredible leadership for being so young.

i gotta say, as much as i am afraid of what rex ryan can do with a defense (evident by revis island this year,) i am much more afraid of the patriots falling apart

theyre getting really old, the defense has giant holes in it, and tom is playing well at all. we most likely are not going to resign vince wilfork or adalius thomas, there goes half our defense right there (literally, vince is huge!) wes welker wont be back till november, randy moss seems to have lost focus, and we have no coordinators

but to answer your question, yes i am afraid. if sanchez downs his ints, he could be as dangerous as the wu tang and the shaolin

are you fucking serious? this is like the 50th time in the past week ns does not know how to read....

i said peyton manning is a better qb than tom brady. how does peyton manning cheat?

another thing we have to remeber is that there is now a saralry cap. joe monatana played on teams that would not exist in the salary cap era.

its hard to gauge this really because football is such a team sport.

asks for the flag after being grazed by suggs, give me a break.

Yeah, that call was such bullshit. Suggs is out of balance after he finally broke free from the block and falls forward in the direction he was going, which was towards tom brady. He clearly did not try to grab his legs. The ref should have gotten a pretty harsh memo from Mike Pereira after that call.

youre right, the general "correctness" of this call is very questionable. but i think you can see how the ref is moving his hand way before tom is turning. and than its possible that another ref threw a flag earlier which we cannot see right now (although i think that pass-rush/QB-interaction is the responsibilty of the head ref or how he is called, the guy with the white cap)

I fucking hate Brady but you guys need to shut up about a couple of questionable calls in what has now become a meaningless regular season game. He did his JOB perfectly, the ref may or may not have done his correctly.

most of you in the same situation would do the same thing.... i can guarantee you have all cheated on a test before, this is in a way the same thing. he just wants to get 15 more yds, who wouldnt?

GREATEST QUARTERBACK EVA!!!!

That said, comparing this is hard. They both have amazing stats but Brady has more Super Bowl Rings. Kinda like, who is the greatest Heavyweight boxer of all time? Muhammad Ali or Mike Tyson? Hell, the boxer one there are even other guys you can add to the list too.

Thing is, there isn't a real answer to this.

It is always the most common debate to come up when discussing the greatest HW of all time. Foreman, Frazier, Louis, and Dempsey show up too but I wouldn't expect some of NS to know who those guys are.

doesnt mean tom brady sucks and the patriots are the best team....

and i wasnt lolling at the fact that it was wrong, i was lolling at the fact that eheath always says the same thing just to get me angry

its funny lolz

Oh, I forgot. Tom Brady was physically videotaping the opposing team while he was on the field. How stupid of me.

hahha yea good argument, only one no name guy in the entire organization can be called a cheater.

Patriots Superbowls w/ illegally filming/interrupting visiting teams communications: 3

Patriots Superbowls w/o illegally filming/interrupting visiting teams

communications: 0

They're not going to win again with this group.

He's still in my top 5 all time but the Patriots as a whole are a joke and its annoying that the NFL destroyed all that shit and that ESPN being based in the Northeast just let it slide. As time goes on I think more and more ex-employees will have something to gain by coming forward with the truth as to what really happened, whether they're trying to sell books or whatever.

You said that Tom Brady will go down as one of the best QBs of all time.

I said that a cheater cannot be one of the best QBs of all time.

You call me dumb saying you said Payton Manning is a better QB than Brady (which I never denied or mentioned).

I personally explain all of this to you, and you ask me what's my point.

My point? You have a fucking down syndrome.

holy fucking shit, how many times in a week can ns not read. especially your own post. you said a cheater cant be THE best qb of all time, scroll up you fucking dipshit. since i said peyton manning is a better quarterback than tom brady, its impossible, in my opinion, for brady to be the best of all time. therefore, by your inability to read and comprehend your own post, you're the one with fucking down syndrome you subhuman retard

what about the colts pumping in crowd noise during their home playoff games?or bill polian bitching to the competition committee about his receivers getting there asses kicked until he got the stupid 5-yard cushion rule put in place?i mean people call brady a bitch for asking for a roughing the passer call (which was a weak call but a rules a rule) but wheres the hate on receivers asking for flags when they barely get touched?

I'm from New England and a Patriots fan but Tom Brady is terrible and hes a pussy

Matt Castle was great on the Patriots and look at him now, Bill is just a great coach

Manning hands down

You can't compare today's stats to the stats from the 70's. In relation to the rest of the nfl qbs at the time, Brady's superbowl season stats are very comparable to Bradshaw's.

I never said he was...

I'm saying that Brady meant about as much to his team as Bradshaw did during their superbowl years.
