BPC Hate thread

You dont see race skier hate on us went we used our money to go on a street trip and potentially get hurt and break our skis

why would park skier get offended by skiers getting bored in the summer so they try to hit spots with no snow? I don't understand the hate? but you probably never tried it or just dont like skiing has much has the Buldoz gang. Yall are so much cooler getting drunk on the golf course lol

why not? bpc2 has more views than any other ski video from the past couple years, it’s not that serious, just don’t watch it if seeing departs getting tortured hurts so much. I guess etg and zootspace are wack too because they broke skis in their vid lmao, honestly all street vids. making a thread is the real overkill

I dont really pay attention to what has a ton of views & what doesn’t I just care about whats in the vid. I don’t care skis are being destroyed I just think the stuff they are doing isn’t it at all. they are all super sick skiers and I love their street vids and park stuff I just don’t like summer skiing
 
If you can't appreciate BPC, then you likely don't appreciate Freed skiing down fucked up stair sets in THC edits, which inspired a lot of non-pro skiers to hit street (not Freed but THC edits/movies). The argument of saying that it's whack and they're risking getting hurt doing dumb shit (imo it's buck) is similar to talking shit on the GX1000 homies for bombing SF hills. Yes, the hill bombs do look sicker but what Buldoz is doing is different and entertaining to watch.

They appeal to me, I enjoy skiing on dirt rocks stairs and other shit and that it’s different idc. To say the BCP’s only appeal to people not very invested in the sport just isn’t true. Buldoz seems to at least be somewhat aware about how goofy it is too, towards the end of FBCP 3 they totally imply it.
 
It's all about the short intense adrenaline rush you get doing the spot.

It's really fun to do, finding the spot (which is the hardest part) , panicking, then finding your courage and doing it. Such a gratifying sensation.

And it makes you a better skier, it gives you style and character. And APPRECIATION for SNOW.

Freeskiing is a sport where emotions are involved, it's not logical, and thats where style is from. Anything that make you love skiing more, is good for your skiing. And nothing makes you a better skier than skiing any terrain possible. (who is the best? Candid, and he ski anything)

Thirdly it's a BIT more accessible to the bigger public. Which is something the freeski world use to be kinda good at (f**k FIS), but now NEED to improve with. And it easily can, by doing banger events/contests. RIP Xgames, Nine Knights, Redbull Railistique. Videos are fun but nothing beat seeing it live, the emotions.

Maybe there is a bit of hype on bpc, cause it is (/was, i agree it's getting old really fast) different and new. And cause the rest is boring and has no personality, no risk, no impact. Be creative for f**k sake, which again i agree IT IS HARD, but truly only need you to take risk.

And finally, three video is a bit overkill, but we really enjoy doing it, so we might do a fourth, there is still things to ski (sorry hahahahahaha).

But haters dont worry the hype is going to fade away, like everything.

Just watched BPC 2 because of this thred. That was cool af. This is next level old head hater activity, god forbid someone do something you haven't seen before. I get how it might come off as kinda gimmicky but at then end of the day what they're doing is impressive. yeah it trashes the skis but so does urban skiing ( and park skiing ). seems like people are just fishing for a new stick to shove up their asses

Yeah if you grew up East Coast, without much of a freestyle scene at the local, you had to get wild to keep up with the west coast riders. Also doing shit like this does make you a better skier.... Mental commitment, and if you can turn a ski on rock you can do it better on snow.

Do i wanna watch it all the time, nope? do I think it's funny, dumb, cool, and embraces the rebellious, fun loving roots of skiing? Yep!

Nah I ski year round and I love this shit more than you could ever fathom I just prefer hitting spots in the winter with snow over skiing around in the summer gotta work lol

My year round skiing is going to a fridge once a summer lol these dudes literally live in Europe a place where you can literally actual ski year round yet they choose to make videos made for people who don’t even ski just for a quick vid

Why does NS choose to promote a video that the creators don’t even upload to the NS player or promote their newschoolers link? If you go to the BPC Instagram, they link their YouTube video, not NS.

From what I have seen on this site so far, community content falls to the wayside..

skiing is super expensive and not getting any cheaper. we dont have the money to go ski glacier during the summer. simple as that.
