Just know that while the bus to big sky is pretty good on scheduling, the bus to bridger isn't nearly as on point. I think they made some changes this year so hopefully it's better, but just a heads up.
There are a lot of really good food options in Bozeman; check out yelp.com and decide for yourself. Breakfast: Cateye, Nova cafe, mainstreet overeasy. Lunch: the co-op is great, frank's is good but expensive...idk. Dinner: pretty much anywhere is good depending on what kind of food you're looking for. Weebee's is awesome, but I'm biased. 7 sushi is good and I've heard nothing but good things about sweet chili's....tons of other options though.
If you're only gonna have one ski the whole time, just get a good all mountain ski. Personally, 100mm underfoot is the way to go. There's the chance that it'll snow the whole time, and the chance it won't snow at all, so there's no need for a pow ski the whole time and 100mm holds its own enough in pow and is great all other times. If you haven't noticed, so far it's a really below average snow year...we all hope it's just been saving up for later, but conditions are extremely subprime for this time of year, mostly just for bridger, but big sky's definitely below average too. Hopefully it's made up for it by late february, but keep that in mind.
