Which is better? Some friends and I are gonna be up there middle to end of this coming week, just wanted to know which is worth spending money at? Thanks in advance-
You can ski both with the same pass. So start off at mountain and if you dont like it drive an hour north and hit the highlands. Personally I like mountain better. Watch you skis though, mine just got jacked the Thursday from the Mountain.. I have a reward of 100 bucks if anyone finds them, I posted it here. Later
highlands is not that good at all i dont remeber it having a good park or a park at all. mt is better and i think steeper
This is better than freeipods they dont spam you-help me out i swear it works- free ipod or other mp3 player and you only have to put 7 bucks into doing an offerhttp://www.mp3players4free.com/default.aspx?r=14896
Boyne Mountain's park is FLAT. They have some easy rails that are fun and some okay jumps that are pretty much impossible to get speed for. I don't know about Highlands
Highlands park has bigger hits but theres only one rail and like 3 jumps and the pipe. Its usually more ice at Highlands too. Mountain has 5 or 6 rails, pipe, 6 jumps and a huge hip they just built, about 25 feet tall with like 20-25 foot gap, its sweet but you need to bomb through the pipe to even think about clearing it (dont scrub ANY speed at all or your gonna crash and burn).
sounds like nubs is the way to go, thanks everyone for the help..unfortunately i think we're gonna postpone the trip but we'll see ya up there in the spring i'm sure
took a trip tp boyne mtn this weekend. conditions were a little solid but everything was groomed nicely. the park was ok. the pipe was solid ice and looked rad(but i suck at pipe) but the rest was alright- however everything was really small. there's a little transfer thing that was kinda fun. the lip had some pop so the little gap seemed bigger and the landing was smooth.
that's about it. it was fun to ride through and do little spins and stuff but i think it'd be better if they didnt focus on densifying the area with little jumps and focused on a few bigger ones with multi transitions.
