i wont be 18 at the time, i turn 17 a week or so before hand so i cant get into casinos/clubs/pubs/bars.

hes into a heap of random stuff, but nothing that i can get him something for (eg scuba diving).

his family and i are going out with him for his birthday dinner, then im staying at his...ill leave it at that.

 
you could try to make him something, and if it sucks then at least you made the effort, if it rocks then its all good. he will appreciate it either way.

yea, i know for a fact, as a guy, that the best birthday present, is really good sex. like, if you dont ususally, like throw him on the bed, maybe cuffs or something, and YOU be the dominant one. its soooo freakin awesome.

but yea, maybe get him some smaller stuff, wallets a good idea, as are new shades, random stuff like that. but im serious, sex is definatly the best present lol. maybe come out with a bow on and nothing else lol

well, in about 10 minutes I could look up and find the a scubadiving shirt, or article that he may need, a cool watch, maybe some new flippers, gripping gloves, goggles, nose plug, underwater etch and sketch, for a killer present.
