but seriously it is suuuuuper hard to make a grown u looking shoe that looks good in other than neutral colors.

We weren't wondering don't worry. I've been impressed with alot of vans lately, otherwise go Nike. Unless he could use some boat shoes sperrys tons of colors too. Yeah btw cobra I must be such a homo because I was stoked when my girl got me some 6.0's. Lol
 
Go with...1.Nike sb Janoski's, classy yet dope, so many colour-ways.

2.Nike sb Eric Koston Pro Models, comfiest shoe you will wear and super sick.

3.Air Jordon's 3's,5's,6's or 7's. You can't ever really go wrong.
 
Going through a horrible break up right now, so I appreciate how well you treat your boyfriend. I highly recommend the Nike SB Stefan Janoskis. They have the same swag as a Nike shoe(I used to wear dunks all the time), but they have the same comfortable sole, and style of a supra shoe. Then to top it off the dress shoe feel, with the rectangular laces just put the icing on the cake. I LOVE THESE SHOES!
