There are two Olenick brothers which one did you mean...probably Peter...hes better. Anyway Peter is kind of a jerk but is really a really good skier. Steele is really nice and will slide almost any rail...they are about to finish this 150-200 foot bridge rail in Apsen and I bet he tries it next year. All I can say about the rest of them is that they will try almost anything, and I have hear they are all nice.

 
Peter is a jerk? Do you ski with him all the time or did you meet him once and he rubbed you the wrong way? I worked with Peter all summer at High North and really respect that kid. He is very modest and polite and fun to ski with. Sorry you had a different encounter, but don't let it jade your opinion.

 
Yeah I was at a comp at Sunlight mtn and he came and absolutley ripped...it was sick. But he was just a jerk about everything...to everyone, I saw him a few more times at Buttermilk (I live in Aspen) and he still seemed like a jerk, maybe I just caught him at a bad time...maybe not

i skied with peter at highnorth and at the US Open this year. the kid is a sportsman and is one of the coolest kids youll ever meet.

from the story in freeze it sounds like jon is a true ski fetish, he is out there from 9-4 when its crap and still says it good. Thats what i like about him. He is a true skier always trying to push himself. I got NFI on the other guys.

i don't know the others, but i met steele and he's totally cool and really nice - plus he's an awesome skier. one of the most solid rail sliders and smoothest jumpers i've seen. i saw him slide some unbelievable rails.

 
he had at grade A mullet at High North, that was so pimp. plus he was going big. he was super nice when I met him, I really have no idea how you though he was a jerk.

jon ollsson is overated. he's a good jumper. he's average at rails. he sucks at pipe, i've never seen him get more than 10 feet out of the pipe...yet everyone thinks he is the best. i dont get it.

theres a natural mystic flowing through the air if you listen carefully now you will hear. its the first trumpet calling. might as well be the last. many more will have to suffer many more will have to die dont ask me why. things are not the way they used to be.
 
oh ya jon does suck at pipe, he must have paied those judges with sweedish women in order to win the x-games, us open pipe...ya he sucks alright, his 30 foot REGULAR flatspin tail in the qp was shit...he moved his arm in the air, such crap...oh and his allyoop flatspins tails are not quite crossed at 90degrees, fuck that he sucks.

i kinda get what he says...go look at hi runs in the pipe...seriously very few of his airs in the pipe are over 12 feet, and of course he goe 30 feet out on the qp since he was a GIANT inrun and a snowmobile tow in...im not saying he sucks...im just saying there are def other people who are better than him in the pipe

height is only one factor in pipe. sure height it important but jons 12 foot tech tricks with style beat out somone like simon dumont who may fly 20 feet but doesnt throw down the tech tricks with style and link it together in a smooth run.

dude...go to skiingmotion.com and look at some of jon's videos (mostly from the pipe) you're dumb if you think he sucks at pipe

 
You don't know what the hell you're fucking talking about. Jon may only get 12 feet of air, but can beat the shit out of the guys gettin 20. You must be BLIND. Jon uses that 12 feet like no other, he can pull the biggest, most innovative moves in the pipe in that amount of height while still having plenty of room for style. Also, when you're goin 20 feet, you do the move, complete the move, and wait to land. Jon doesn't hafta wait for the landing, he makes it look smooth. Thats probably why he's fucking OWNED every pipe hes ever skied in. All those guys are good, but not enough people know exactly what level Jons riding at, hell, most people don't even know how to correctly pronounce his name (if you've nevered skied before, his name is pronounced 'Yune', not 'John'). Never call Jon overrated again, cause he can own any of you that say that anyday.

actually, Jon is geting good air out of tha pipe, people who are going bigger then he is are just not hitting tha walls at tha same angles and they usually do less tricks in one run then he is doing. (from what I have seen)( of course, there are exception like larose, jf and will but I,m sure ya get the idea)

and about tha jump do tha trick and then wait to land... ya cant be more out of tha track when ya get more air, ya can do tha tricks at a slower speed and not have to wait fo tha landings...

Jons run in the X games and U.S. open are crap in my opinion. (i still think he's sick and a heck of a lot better than me tho) He doesn't get any air...sure he lands everythign, but its not a fluid run at all. i'd think lots of people do better than jon in halfpipe.

boyd underrated? hmmm, not too many skiers have two page ads, full sick segments in every big movie, their own posters, shitloads of loot flowing in from companies, and their name out there as one of the biggest freeskiers in the industry. how again is he underrated?

i'm not saying at all that he is overrated, i'm just saying he kills it and he is one of the biggest names and influences in our sport, i don't know how you can call him underrated. he gets mad respect.

jon kicks so much ass it's not even funny...he's got to be the best skier in the world, as far as every single aspect of skiing goes...he used to race for sweden, and he did pretty good at that, and he kicks ass in the freestyle category, everything he does you can tell he has such a unique style. don't ever say that his halfpipe skills suck, he kicks ass!

 
agreed that boyd get mad props now. i just had to give him a shout in this forum. that oakley ad of him for the wisdom has soo much style....
