Boycotting KISS...Boyd Easley's song in Happy Dayz to be replaced with Moteley Crue song

Due to the recent news about the conflict and law suit between Kiss and Line skis with the anthem, ans the anthems not being delievered. I will never listen to Boyd Easley's song in Happy Dayz ever again, and will instead listen to the Moteley Crue song, Kickstart my heart. I will also boycott all other Kiss songs and whatever kiss stuff there is. Honestly, it won't make a different cause no one listens to those has beens anymore anyways, I encourage Poor Boyz productions to remake Boyd Easleys segment.

That's all I have to say besides, "FUCK YOU KISS!"
 
Because Im supposed to get anthems, but now because KISS has to be assholes, they threatened line and line wont ship out the anthems, the greatest ski ever to be made. Im not happy.
 
does it actually say kiss or anything to do with kiss on the skiis? cuz if it doesnt i dont see why they can get sued for having a guy who looks like kiss on their skis...

I don't know why the marketing for these bands care so much, if anything it would boost the image of the band. K2 had to change the mad'n ak to the ak enemy because iron maiden wanted k2 to pay them for the rights to the name. what ski company is going to pay a band to use its name? It just not going to happen
 
its copyright enfringement, plain and simple. yeah, sometimes these things get taken way out of hand, but it has to be done. and yes, it was stupid of line to put it out if it was that similar to any kiss logo. but then again, kiss isnt around, and theyre rich bastards as it is.
 
It doesn't have to be done. It isn't hurting kiss, and they are prob better off with them on the skis.

the random moteley crue song isn't from propaganda, it's just a random good song, that is better than the Kiss song.

why get a life? I prob have more of a life than you. I don't go on this site much anymore, you have more than twice as many posts as me. I hate Kiss, I love line, and it's shitty what they did to them and I want to get my anthems. this is a legit thread

nah mang...kiss is siiiiiiiiiick. as i have said before, it is not their fault that line used their image, infringing on copywrite laws.
 
They made thier millions, and become a cultural icon. If my creation ended up on some kids skis, I would be cool with it, not be a money-grubbing bitch and threaten to sue a harmless ski company.

Copyrighting is getting out of hand. My favorite guitar TAB site got shut down yesterday, even though all of the music on it was composed by users who actually took the time to listen and learn the music themselves so that others could learn to play their favorite songs. What the hell is the harm in that? Its getting to the point that you have to get copyright approval before singing aloud your favorite song. Honestly, they've gone way to far with this shit...
 
or you could download kiss for free and not have to worry about boycotting them if you really like them. not that much of their record sales actually go to the band anyways
 
Its totally LINES fault for not checking shit out before they made the skis, however I do feel sorry for the people who could have been skiing if they got their line skis
 
Kiss fucking sucks, I've always hated their shit. My brother tries to put it on in the car but I always let him off with a warning. After reading this, if he even thinks of mentioning Kiss I will knock him out. The fucking similarity is minimal, the guy on the Line Anthems does not even have his face painted the same way, its just painted white. If Kiss gets the money from everyone that uses the image of an average 80s rockstar then I say murder that whole band.

...have you guys seen the skis? Line did not use Kiss's image. There are seriously hundreds of rockers that could identify with the graphic on the ski. Suing Line over the rocker graphic is simply pathetic on Kiss's part.
 
line shouldve been smarter, they shouldve asked before they did anything, but my question is, how the hell did they guy from kiss ever see the line anthems? im pretty sure he wasnt just out flexing some skis in the store..

If it was me i probably would have sued as well - direct copyright infringement.

As bad as the situation is, and as good as the anthems were gonna be this isn't Kiss's fault, its Lines for designing them that way without permission
 
you know what, fuck you guys. I shouldn't have to put up with this shit. I go out west 2 or more times a year. I have a need for them. They butter well, they are perfect skis for me. I ski park a lot in NC, which is open right now, unlike most resorts in New england and out west. and emo, fuck you lanks, you would say the same if you lived here.

fucked up legal bullshit is to blame, not line or the artist that did the graphics.

i seriously fail to see how this is line's fault or how the lawyers managed to copyright playing the guitar with a white face...

line created the opportunity for litigation/legal bullshit

as was said a few posts up, this has been done before, Seth Pistols, Madens etc - the same thing is happening with graphics instead of naming rights
 
ok asshole, sorry that I finally got excited about getting hooked up with a sick pair of skis for a good price, and that every opportunity I have to buy a pair of skis falls through and I can't get my skis because of some fucking bullshit has been band. You would be pissed if you were me, so shut the hell up.
 
seriously, why side with a has been ugly ass guy such as gene simmons who PAYS his body guards for every girl they get him to fuck when you could side with a fellow skier?
 
i fail to see how they created the opportunity. the artist drew a guy playing a guitar. with a white painted face. i dont think you can copyright guitars and makeup.

with seth pistols and madens, i can maybe see that, but the ski wasnt named the gene simmons or the kiss. totally bullshit.
 
i would love every skier who rides line to be in the courtroom for that.....would be sick. then we could throw bags of pop at kiss members.
