ok everyone whos ever been to more then one comp in michigan knows that the cork 7 wins all the time even thoguh its not the most difficult trick thrown (cough mike hornbecks flatspins cough) I just doing this for shits and giggles, but i wanna see if anyones is with me in boycotting that trick in comps. I know im not going to prolly ever throw one in a comp, id rather be different. Sooooo....anyone with me on this????

what about a switch cork 7? Is that allowed...one of the guys here just learned it. I will agree that there are a lot cork 7's. But they are winning comps and they are sticking with the trick. If I could cork 7 I would do it too if its going too win.

i love cork 7's. they are so cool, probly the sweetest trick out there next the the front flip. the best cork 7's are the ones with no grabs, i just like how everyone in the midwest throws their cork 7's with a breif or no grab, its just so sick that way. also what gets me goin is cork 7's that arent even that corked out, i just love seeing people throw slightly off axis 720's and calling them cork, it's so hot right now, maybe this year the big thing in the midwest will be a different trick that was cool in 1999, like a lincoln loop or somthing

The cork 7 isn't just a midwest phenomenon, everyone and their brother was throwing them at the X quilifier in Breck this weekend, except me, thats why I'm home instead of driving to Aspen! Shit

i also did a normal 7, and a and crashed two cork 9's. i just needed to land another trick. i was very disappointed in myself, even while i was in the air. sorry reed, hornbeck made me do it. never the less, i am done with the trick in big airs for the rest of the year, i learned switch cork 5's yesterday, so ill just do that now.

a 1080 double daffy would be pretty cool. you know you want to throw one. i dont think cork 7s are all that bad, but throwing 3 of em in a row and winning a slopestyle contest is pretty lame. its the judges fault though. most judges seem to think the person with the most spin should win comps. ive seen it happen. comps suck anyway.

 
I decided the best way to win a slopestyle is to do the ski ballet thing... I've been working on it for a while, I can do flatground flont flips, pole spins, and the works. I've got it choreographed, too... watch out US Open!

 
Did you guys hear that Tyler Barnes got kicked out of a Grand Rapids McDonald's yesterday? Yeah, I guess the manager or something was up at the competition and he saw Tyler throw a cork 7, so he refused to serve him and threatened to call the cops. Good work.

i could be mistaken but i think i saw a somewhat corked 7 thrown down by the creator of this thread. yes the perv himself MIKE REED. but it was on a super scary 60 foot gap jump in Marquette Mountains new terrain park.

I havent got the cork 7 down yet..but I am learing cork 5 and would definitely throw down on cork 7 if I was gonna go home with the win

ya, lane, i think that bio's would be ok, and that comp at c-burg, turned into a cork 7 fest. i ate shit on a few of em, it kinda hurt, so i quit throwing them.
