This morning, Duane thier main park builder was fired without a reason. The park will never be the same.
 
Yeah this shit is messed up...

They need to give a reason.. pretty shady.

That park will never be the same. It was sooo good this year so far.

I’m sure that many of you are aware that I cannot log on to cascadepark.com, some of you wanted me to contact you through the forum, but I can’t. I hope you will post this for me. It may answer some of the questions that many of you have.

I knew that letting Duane go was going to upset a lot of people. That’s no surprise to me. He’s been building the parks at Cascade for 4-1/2 years, and has built quite a reputation. And I’m sure you will agree that the level of the parks has gone up considerable since when I used to do it. Duane grew up here, and I hope that you don’t think that this was easy for me to decide. And I do say me, as I did have the final say so. I would ask that you not pin this on anyone else.

As far as the “Indy Boys” many of you (maybe not you) but riders, commented on how they like the effort put into the parks the last few weeks and that was both the new guys and Duane. So please give the guys a chance. Before you make your decisions about how good or bad the park will be, please try it first. Then comment.

I know that many of you want an explanation why. I am sorry, that I will not answer that now or in the future. Some things are not for public knowledge. I know you will think that it’s not fair and that you deserve an answer. But we’re just not going to have that conversation. You have the right to your opinions and I will listen to them. But I won’t be able to answer all of them.

If you do have opinions about the park or how to make it better, I would encourage your comments. I did not take this step today to upset the local Cascade’s riders. I took it to make some changes that I felt were going to assist Cascade in moving forward, getting better and being able to continue business in the future. Unfortunately that decision did not include Duane. I know that my decision today upset a lot of people, and that was not my intent. But I do hope that you will still try us in the future and base your future riding decisions on the product that we give you, rather than on the people we use to make the product.

I look forward to you comments, if they are comments that I can use to improve the parks at Cascade.

Being from Canada, and from having been in both states, I think I can offer my assistance in solving your debate. (yes I realize they're are gonna be a million Canada jokes that follow). I'm going to go with Minnesota as being cooler because:

1. Price is the fuckin man, and his guitar for the half time show was sick.

2. In MN, the worst we've gotten kicked out of a hotel for "partying to hard" is them going "crazy Canadians" and since this was in the morning the told us "get your free breakfest and get out". In Wi we had the State Troopers come in our door swat steeze, and made us sleep in my van, no key in the ignition in Feb, indicating Wi peeps can't party.

3. Mn has Spirit, can't go wrong with there season pass which came to 208 Cad.

4. Mn has a hockey team.

5. Brett Farve sucks, never seen so many ints.

6. Im calling that bblock, and sayin you guys don't know how to drink beer. I hate to say it but watch "Beer Fest" and thats what the outside world really thinks of your guys drinkin abilities.

Dumb argument, MN is sic and so is WI. Two best states in the midwest. Best lakes, best people, best women.

Living in Tahoe now those are the only two states I could go back to in the midwest.......sorry FIBS.

Duane was a gift to the sport and a supporter of the midwest scene and the only reason I ever went BACK to cascade. I hope he moves on to bigger and better things.
 
The park on Saturday was definately worse then the last day that Duane was there... but the new Hip was pretty sick.
 
I haven't been to cascade in a while but hearing this news isn't good. From what I read Duane was a real good park guy. Sucks to hear that he got let go. hopefully the park don't go to shit.

And on another note, Wisconsin is better.
 
This is the worst thread ever made, and it makes me actually hate people from Wisconsin. All I've seen from this whole situation is kids jump the gun and totally deny that Tom/Trav will be able to do anything decent. They know what they're doing, and will make shit happen.
 
And after reading it, it makes me think you're all stupid and care more about Prince, football, beer and "dirty Sconi Hos" than skiing.

Everything is worked out the park is shaping up... just need bigger jumps!!! oh well like I said it's all good in the hood. Hopefully we'll see you out for the MWO!
 
the only thing i can say to this is, Brett Favre is my man crush. Dont deny it, i know others have a crush on him too.
 
I got inside word that part of the buyout deal between Rob Walz and Joe Perfect of Perfect North Slopes in Indiana buying from Phil Walz, was that the park crew from INDY could bump up to Cascade and let the next in line take over parks at the resort from Indy. The breakdown= Rob + Indy dude buy Cascade. Indy dudes crew in. Duane:(b out. The latest was that the parks showed a little improvement, but the guy next to him told me thats bullshit. Different but not improved. I'd tell ya how I got this, but then I'd have to kill ya.

However you got it you should forget it... "Joe Perfect"... excellent information... "Skip North" i would have believed but "Joe Perfect" not a chance haha. Your guys gossip is second to none though i will tell you that.
