Boycott burton

im never buying burton

they dropped anon skiers

and i bought a pair of gloves and they fucking suck

and know there not a park glove
 
burton only makes good boards and binders, their outerwear, to me, doesnt last long and isnt high quality, tho some of it is sick lookin, i would not buy it. I do have a pair of burton gloves, will i wear them? yes, do i like them, eh...I also have anons, do i like the fact they dropped their skiers, yes and no.. i like it because y would we support them if their company is going back to their "roots" ( which on a sidenote i think is actualy digressing the sport) but i will wear my anons but i wont buy another pair.
 
i dont know whats wrong with all you, that shit is hilarious to me. Snowboarders are some of the funnest dudes to rip it up with.

Burton makes the worst boards and bindings in the snowboard industry, and this is a well known fact. The quality is terrible. The only reason to buy burton is to get a new board every year, because you will almost guaranteed have to warranty yours at the end of the season if your a solid rider. There outerwear is known to be alot better than there hardgoods and havent personally heard of too many complaints witht eh quality of there outerwear.
 
There's nothing wrong with burton's contest. read the mission statement. this is supposed to be a free country. the more stupid rules like this are abolished, the more free our country becomes. i don't know about you, but I value my freedom. as it is, i don't feel like i have enough. now, if i want to ride with my friends that snowboard at taos, i can.

so what? i think skiing is sick, and im a snowboarder. alot of my friends ski and i snowboard witht them. It dosent matter wheather your on 1 stick or 2! its like racism of the sticks.
 
Snowboarding is so rebellious Who wants to ride at those dumps anyway they all looked shitty except alta, and Snowbird is right next to that and they allow snowboards. who cares
 
Yeah fuck Burton, even my snowboarder friends don't buy their stuff. Anyways why not support ski companies especially smaller ones rather than a huge corporate snowboard company that thinks they are far superior to skiers.
 
do some research bud, u may not like there boards or there company in general.but the technology in burton boards is top of the line. and there bindings are up there too.
 
the old guy who is interviewed is right, snowboarding is a culture. different resorts try to apeal to different types of people. these places may not want boarders because they want to apeal to a much older croud who generally ski. or parents who think that snowboarders are hooligans or bad people. it makes sense not to let boarders into certain places if they dont want that type of croud.
 
I can understand why boycotting buton outerwear as a skier is legit, but y do u want to boycott them because of this, i ski with boarders just as much as i ride with skiers and its just straight up discriminatory that resorts dont let boards ride their mountains, how would we feel if there were mountains that were sick and only allowed boarders. Burtons not so much ragging on skiers with this poaching shit as they are gapers, and whats wrong with raggin on gapers.
 
Burton boards and bindings are solid, the poaching contest is great.

burtons marketing strategy has always included hating on skiing. if you reward them for that you're that bitch in class who tries so hard to be friends with the kids who make fun of him. have a little backbone
 
If you want ski gear stick with Orage, there gear is for skiiers and they have really unique designs and stuff...burton grew up making boards so they will stick with the market they started with.

i think that its gay that those mountains wont let snowboarders there. HOWEVER, a bunch of jackasses going in there and causing problems, is just going to justify why those mountains dont let boarders in, and will only create more problems, solve nothing.
 
Their boards are...alright. But there are better, more advanced companies out there, that I would rather bring my business to.

Bindings are up there too? You've got to be kidding. Their bindings are garbage. From personal experience to word of mouth. I've said it many times before. Their quality does not match their prices. End of story.
 
first of all what pisses me off the most is skiers who wear burton stuff. second burton is the wal mart of the snow worl mass producing crap for crap people.
 
Then why do TONS of pros, who are sponsored by other binding brands, use Burton bindings? Travis Rice has been on Cartels for a long time even though he is riding for Bent Metal, and there are a much more.

I love how all the skiers are hating on Burton because they are corporate. They are still private (owned by Jake). How many ski companies can say that? In 30 years if Armada or 4FRNT are the same size as Burton is now will you say the same thing?

Final thoughts... You could argue the contest worked (Taos). I said COULD.

Hasn't this been beat to death already in other threads?

So violating property rights is a form of freedom? You do know that the dudes who started this country intended that only people who own property, should be allowed to vote...I don't care what Burton does...but if anything they are jst proving why those mts don't allow snowboarders in the first place...
 
I have never liked burton, but i lost all respect for them when they bought up forum...

took the most core boarding company over the last 10 years and practically fucked it all up.

Am I the only one to notice that the people hating on this contest or "boycoting burton" have less than 500 post?

I think this contest is amazing, i couldn't stop lauging about it.

As for boycotting burton, good for you, I personally try to buy orage stuff over any thing else because it is skiier based.

Also about how you don't like how they droped skiiers, why should they have skiiers? They are a snowboarding company not a skiing company. Whats next, Line or Armada signing a snowboarder to promote skiing?
 
its ridiculous how a mountains can ban all snowboarders and i think its a genious contest. but burton makes shitty clothes (gloves jackets stuff like that) i dont know enough about their boards and boots to determine if those are shit to.
 
you're a complete dumbass. ya, their boards suck. that's why they're the biggest board company there is, they have the sickest team, they've been making board since forever....should i continue? ya, they got huge from making crap boards? that's their bread and butter. they're a board company. they made boards long before they made outerwear. sure they'll have a board every so often with some sketchy quality. who doesn't? my father in law knew jake and started one of the first snowboard companies but got out of the industry because he didn't like the whole scene. now he only rides burton stuff cause it's quality. how would you know anyway? "it's a well known fact." give me a break. some of your friends probably say that so therefore it's a well known fact. total fag.

ya, i think the contest is pretty gay. they're trying too hard to be all hardcore. i think it's funny to go poach some lines but i think it's gay the image they're trying to sell. same goes for dropping their skiers. gay. just trying to sell an image. it's just about marketing. gay. doesn't change the fact that they make sick boards though.
 
yup I'm saying this is all about marketing and to get exposure....if they're so "core" maybe Jake should stop doing ads for hewlett packard and crushing little shops that pushed Burton for years before they could open burton specific stores(don't know the shop stuff firsthand but hearing stories of it).

Yeah, stupid those areas don't allow boarding, but 4 areas, whatever..spend your money elsewhere...kids are gonna go get locked up trying to be all crazy for their videos etc, end up having weed in their pocket and get a real arrest....guaranteed that stuff happens....

will make for some hilarious videos though.......

When you spend millions of dollars in buying a business, you can run it how you wish and provide a product of your choice. If it's a poor choice, the business will fail.
 
I like snow boarders but I hate Burton. This contest would be a whole lot funnier if their marketing strategy wasnt to exclude skiers and then they just excpect to be included in places there not allowed.
