heard about this today. so sad. the world truly is starting to come to an end with these birds and haiti and this. soon austrailia will be completely submerged. i dont think 2010 will be true. but something is definitely happen
 
floods can come quick, like in waves. they said it started at tire level, but they had no time to reach higher ground by the time the level had risen to the roof of the car
 
the worst part was that the bystanders were doing nothing to help. they might have survived if someone had done something quicker.

So weird though around 3 weeks ago i had a dream that i was at this hilly area and a flood came and started washing away the cars off the road. I tied a rope to myself and was trying to save the people from the cars. This is messed that this is all happening now...

Your ignorance is rampant. Worse shit than this happens every year, the stories just don't get picked up that easily because earthquakes and floods are seen as a normal occurence in many places.

Right now, there are huge floods in Brazil and way more people have lost their lives than in Australia, but it has garnered minimal media attention. Haiti was struck so hard because the whole country's infrastructure is in shambles.

The brother's story was sad, though.
