im starting a "business" in my buddies basement. me and him are currently building a nasty ass flat box from a wood frame. ours is 8 ft long but we can build up to 15 ft. flat downd 4rf4rfv4rfv4rfvqf4gb6y51 and battleship boxes arent out of the question if your interested let me know. $200 for an 8ft + s/h
 
yeh thats too much for a wooden box, and how do u expect to ship? thats impossible? so ur gunna do pik ups only ?? do u have a pic of the quality of the box? must bee pretty good for 300$ whuts ur top sheet? and where are u located?
 
*located in Saratoga NY, 40 miles north of albany

*and i just threw out a number for the price. it'll prolly be like $220 or so for a 15ft box and shipping would bring it closer to $300, because its so huge, depending on where you are.

*topsheet is the good stuff. i think its called polyeurthane or something. my buddy ordered it

yo matt way to start a thread about us makkeing boxes with out consulting

we made an 8ft flat box and were using HDPE(high density polyEthelene) its the best substance for boxes heres a pic of ours were still waiting on the coping and the hdpe

Nobodys gonna pay $30/hr for someone to make them a box..and then more to ship it. (This is assuming it takes 5hours to put one together, which is definitely possible given the tools). Unless of coarse your offering some crazy nice boxes
 
anyone can build one for about 100$ in materials and a couple hours. i dont understand why you would try to sell them, especially here, where anyone can get into build-a-jib and figure it out for themselves. if you could even ship one of those, which i'm not even sure you could, it would be hundreds of dollars to do. its funny, i am in saratoga as well, but good luck.
 
laying it down for ya, pics look fuckin dope as hell that looks like a super super leigt box, but the price is off man, i dunno whut exactly u should charge, but goodluck selling them, prolyl one of the nicest lookin jibs ive seen build guys straight up, and where can u get the polyuretheane shit? i wanna get sum? like whut stores n lumber hardware store have it?
 
i ordered it off usplastics.com i got a 2X4 ft piece for 20 shipped they have good prices and good quality

and we used 2X3 beams and 1/4 inch plywood
 
we arent selling them he was just finding out if any body was interested with prices and if it was possible to sell them , and we made this one for 50ish
 
Ooh alright, my bad.

Heres what you should do.

a) sell em to kids who have no clue about boxes or rails.

or b) talk to your local mountain (pick a smaller one) and try to sell em to them. Terrain parks are attractive and good for business. its worth a shot
