Boxers, boxer briefs, or midrise briefs?

Hi im just now trying out boxer briefs to support my balls more in sports. I used to wear like compression shorts and shit to keep my balls tight but since im pretty active id liek that support all the time.

Now do most of you wear boxers or boxer briefs? and does anyone know what mid rise briefs are and are they good?
