i wanna make a box, probably about 8 feet long and aroudn 1 feet wide.... i want to use lexan, but not sure what the frame should be like, and i cant put it into the ground either, any ideasss

build the frame with 2 x 4's then cover the outside with plywood give it a paint job to seal the wood so it doesn't get all soggy and bad on you

 
this is what i did. I made a simple box out 3 8 inch wide

and a half inch thick peices of wood. then i put a 6 incher

on top leaving and inch left on each side. I put pvc there.

It works out really good.

yea but thats hard to carry around, good lenght for

permanancy but 12 feet is a good all around lenght

Yah yah 7x is right, an 8 foot box is a waste of time, you just get on and be off. 12 foot is good but even bigger would be best, easy way to move it would be just to tie a rope to it and the other end of the rope to a snowmobile and move it that way, if you have one that is. But definitely go bigger, you cant go wrong.

im gonna warn you before you waste money....an 8 foot box is the worst idea ever, thats about a .5 second slide..it seems decent but when you put your skis on and realize its barely longer than the size of your ski you regret using money on such a worthless box

i have a 10 foot one it works good make it that size. this is what you do you get 3 things of wood that r bout a foot wide you stand 2 up on its side and you put the last one on top then nail it together and it will be an uside down u the put whatever you think will slide on the top and away you go. also use really strong wood so it wont bend.

will summer ever end it seems to get longer and longer every year.
