Box or Field Lacrosse

Which do you think is better and why? I currently play Box lacrosse and it's my favourite sport but I have always wanted to try Field lacrosse but never have had the chance where I live. If you have played both which do you prefer and why?

both are really fun to play, but I'd say I probably prefer field over box. Field is just more open and it's a bit more organized with plays and such as opposed to mainly on-ball/off-ball picks and such. I'd try to jump in a rec summer league to see if you like it

Played both, they are both very different from one another. I played lsm/d so I prefer field, it's just more open.

ive played 9 years of box and 2 of field. box is still more fun to play in my opinion, however, i like playing field more. the play is just so much different, better I think.

Played field, but we practiced in box before the fields melted/dried. box is way more hectic and unorganized, kind of like hockey; whereas field is fast, but the extra space gives you more time to develop plays and get set up. The best part is racing to the end line when the ball goes out cause the first team there gets the ball-gets wild sometimes! and honestly, grass is way better than turf any day... a nice muddy game in the sun after the rain lets up is a blast.

I played field for 8 years and box for 13, and I always found that box lax suited me more. More aggressive, faster paced, and less people trying to slash your fingers off.

I played lacrosse for my entire life, 3-4 seasons a year both field and box. I prefer field as you can use the size of the field, and better fastbreak opportunities.

Box lacrosse is too much like hockey, the coaching styles tend to embrace the box and use substitution styles for midfielders that you wouldnt use on the field (in real life)

Box lacrosse is what brings your skills to where they need to be come spring.

Played field since 2nd grade, and only played in 4 box leagues ever. Box is so much fun coming from field. I love the physicality, lack of space, and the need for amazing stick skills. I don't think one is necessarily better than the other. So sick that lacrosse has two different variations.
