^ya trust me we tried, but the screw wont penetrate the aluminum. so we would have to drill a bigger hole just in the aluminum to get it to sink. the screw just spins when we tried to get it to go all the way flush.

No, that's not how you countersink. You use a counter sinking drill bit, if you have a drill, its essential. You probably already have one but don't realize it. Its a bit which looks like a gradual cone with the end cut off. Drill with that so you have a larger, partial whole which will fit the screw head so it rests below the steel/wood/aluninum.

hmm so it comes to a point at the end, then where it is held by the drill it is large? i dont have any drill bits like that, all mine are straight. so i will have to go check the store for a new drill bit.

naw it actually makes it alot slicker... kinda shaves off a little when you run a ski over it but it made it 100X better.
