Boulder's parking lot

so i was up at boulder tonight and the park was in great shape for the amount of traffic, and i had a ton of fun, but i have one gripe. i drive a subaru, which is known for its ability to handle varied and difficult terrain with great aplomb. problem is, the thing can't even handle boulder's parking lot. my car is by no means low to the ground, and i almost ripped off my front bumper trying to get over the valleys boulder has in their parking lot. i even saw a few SUVs scrape when they were trying to get over the trenches. papa, get your mexicans up there to fill in those ditches, please?
 
i couldnt figure out how to get out of the lot when they put up those ropes and post things, its a maze. the parking lot is shit. my car can barely make it around. im afraid something is gonna break my car every time i ski there.
 
Just get everyone in your backseat to jump and kinda try to ollie your car up over the bumps. Lets try it next time.
 
i love all thoughs parkinglots further away that are paved but the main lot isnt. acouple of weeks ago i pop a tire in the lot. went into skier services desk. they got me in touch with a garage and were very helpful until i asked how they were going to reimburse me for the damage. they called a manager and he came down and informed me that they wouldnt be paying for anything that they arent responsable for vehicles in the parking lot. i responded i could see if it was broken into or vandilized, but the condtion of the lot itself was what damaged the tire. he said "well thats just to bad isn't it" what an ass. shit might have went down if i had actually bought a lift ticket that day.
 
^ Yeah.. after things on Friday it sounds like the management at Boulder are MAJOR assholes...

But yeah, the parking lot is crazy!! I have no idea how you could make it around without an SUV. Papa, i'm sure your hummer has no problem ;)
 
maybe if it were ski at your own risk around unmarked sinkholes in the trail... ski areas cant get away without marking stuff like that out on trails, they should at least be able to maintain a parking lot
 
how are they assholes when they favor to us they build us the best park ever. If you don't want to park in their unmaintain parking lot then don't park some where eles.
 
i'm not saying that the parking lot is good, but if you enter and stay as left as possible you should be fine...at least ben's beat car is holding it down
