Bought a pair of Line Mavericks but everyone seems to hate them, what's up?

Iight, so I just bought lat year's Line Mavericks to do mostly big mountain stuff (trees, backbowls, etc.) but i definitely wanna get better at the park this year. Will these skis work for my first few years of park and how will they hold up for the rest of the mountain?

 
they arnt a great ski, but they aint bad. they have a lower quality base than the other line skis. as for backcountry, they are pretty damn skiiny, and i wouldnt expect much from them in powder. they are alright in the park, but you would probably be happier with some fujatives or something with a wider waist. fujatives can be found for around 250 if you look enough.

in science class i sat down to fast and you know how you can sit on your balls. well i did and i sat down really fast and crushed them and right when i sat down i started puking and fell out of my chair. they teacher laughed. i felt like i could pass out i wanted to die.-*NWFT*nUkkA

i was looking into them a few years back when i made this screen name. they sound alright if you just cruise the groomers and a little park. i dont think they would hold their own in the backcountry though. best bet is to sell them and get some pe's (k2 unfortunately). if you have the cash though, get some 4frnts, liberty's, armadas, or the line chronics

i have a pair of maverick's and i think they're fine for park, they're kind of soft, and as for powder, they're not that bad. how much did you pay for them?

Ehh, it wasn't the best deal, i got them for like 220... Well I really wish I'd checked this site before I bought them... Damn.. I'll see if I can sell them but I doubt it.

 
to answer your question: they will work fine in the park. not as good of a park ski as most twins but they will be good to learn on. next time get fatter skis though, for all mountain and park

did you get them on ebay or somethin? if its from ashop, take them back and buy something else from them, they'll let that fly. if not, try sellin them off on ebay. if you dont get what you payd for or close, dont sell them.

Is it really necessary to call someone a fucking idiot because they made a mistake? Because I'm sure you've NEVER made a mistake in your life. Mav's are decent skis for screwing around but i wouldnt get too deep in backcountry with them.

AT, you need to stop reading every fucken post and trashing the poster if you dont like what they say, you dont have mavricks, so shut up, leave it to the ppl who want to help this kid instead of trying to make this kid feel like all everyone does here is try to be ass holes when mistakes are made.and so far it doesnt seem to even be a MISTAKE, maybe not the best, but certainly not the worst

After reading what Axel wrote I realized that my post might have made it seem like you made a mistake.. but you didnt so dont worry about it, i was just making a point. Just mount em up and ski the shit outta them..
