The whole 'born gay, or choose to be gay' debate is ridiculous.

Think about it this way. I HATE cooked carrots. I hate them more than anything, they make me gag. Now is that my choice? Or was I born like that? I have never ever liked cooked carrots. EVER. I didn't wake up one morning and say, 'ooh, I hate those damn orange things, they are gross.' I tried them and didn't like the taste. Maybe that's what being gay is like. Yes they choose to be with people of the same sex, but it's because they were born with a distaste for the opposite sex.

There is no 'gey gene' just like there is no 'cooked carrot gene'.

Unless you have a cock in your ass that you don't want, shut the Hell up and stop whinning like a little pussy.

And as for the whole religious point of view, it is as inconsequential in this case as the question of how the Earth was created.

im no homophobe, i dont give a fuck if two guys want to sleep with other guys. but when they want to do something sacred like getting married i think theyve crossed the line. its part of most of our beleifs that marraige is only reserved for men and women, not men and men or women and women.

i say it would depend on the environment your growing up in too,like for instance,if you have 4 older sisters and you grow up with them,you dont really have anyone to follow except girls so you see them do things and they copy,they could turn out bisexual

Just like all animal species, humans are born with an integrated genetic instinct to procreate. It would be extremely counterproductive for there to be a gene causing a person to desire homophilia. It is impossible, from a scientific point of view, to be born gay. It is purely a choice just like any other perverse or peculiar sexual preference. Some people like s&m some people like to have sex with dead people some people like it in the pooper some people like it with a member of the same sex.

I don't really care whether they get married or not either. BUT, (to the point now) Marriage was to be for man and woman. Its part of the catholic church, united church..whatever..

Does this affect us as people, living our lives? NO, It doesn't.

Religion as a whole is very sacred to some people. To modify people beliefs is a scary thought. People have began wars and killed because of their beliefs in whichever religion.

For some reason I'm attracted to smaller breasts. D cup breasts just don't do it for me the way B cups do. It's not a consious decision that I make to not be attracted to oversized breats, it's just the way I am. I imagine that being attracted to the same sex would work the exact same way.

This is the way someone I work with explained it, and it makes sense to me.

When a baby is still being developed inside the mother it is neither a boy or girl for most of that period (9 months). There is a point were the baby either starts to develop into a girl or a boy, the way he explained it, at this point, the body of the baby will develop into a boys body, but the mind will develop into that of a girl. Or the opposite for a lesbian. So the baby is born with the mind of a girl, but with a boys body, which seems like a logical explaination.

 
it develops before sex is determined. i took health this summer and they went over this. it showed a fetus developing but the sex was still undetermined.

Strictly biologically speakin its a disease, and it effects other animals, like tigers and others. However, since these hormones also affect the mentality of humans on a different level, its also a psychological issue. You cant choose to get turned on by guys, or girls. you are either turned on, or not. simple as that, and just because a person leads a heterosexual life, doesnt mean he isnt attracted to the same sex. Plus 1 in 10 ppl are gay.

show us the evidence of indigenous tribes/other cultures that are devoid of homosexuality. and what do you mean by recently? there have always been gay people in history.. davinci, the 12th century aztec god xochipili was the patron of homosexuality, edward II (in the 13th C), richard I (12th C).. i could go on if you want, but hopefully some of your ignorance will be eradicated through these few examples.
