Has it ever gotten the worst of you?

At work yesterday, i got bored, so i started cutting cups and lids(I work at A&W), i threw one cup up in the air, missed and sliced my hand open with an exacto knife.

Now, I doubt any of you care.

But I've ended up cutting(they think)a tendon that runs to my thumb. It was sweet to see them digging around in my hand and pulling stuff around(ie. tendons).

So here I am, resting my hand that is full of stitches, missing a fabulous day of skiing with my buddies.

I almost lost the movement of my thumb to due the fact that I have a short attention span and suffer from severe stupidity.

So, please children, play safe.

When I'm bored i go to like lyrics.com or something and write up some lyrics to some songs i have on iTunes... thats only when im on the computer though. When i'm not i tend to do things like cutting up paper and then making a masterpiece of cut-up paper...

Hope your hand gets better, though. :)

you should eat when your bored...eating solves all problems i have ever encountered...mostley

I did that once. I split the tendon in my thumb open. Got about a 2.5" scar from my first nuckle of my thumb and then down. It was pretty balla, had a shit ton of stiches and I had to have a cast just for that shit.

thats what im possibly getting

the tendon specialist look at it. the thing that was puzzling was that i have a cut tendon, but at the same time, both of the 2 tendons are still connected

Its a human wonder

WCB(workers compunsation board) is probally going to look into the case, the thing is that i was fooling around. so i dont know whats going to happen

Well for me, I split the tendon vertically rather than horizontally. If you split it horizontally and completely cut it in half, then it will roll back up on itself, hella painful I'd imagine. As for the vertical, it just splits it like () I think, at least for me, so it was split down the middle but still connected on the ends. It sortof healed itself backup on its own, I'd say I probably have 90% movement in my left thumb. I've never not been able to do anything because of it though, I just can't reach all the way across the palm of my hand with my thumb as well as I can with my right hand.

for spring break in the bahamas. It's actually a fly-fishing shirt with a fish/tropical pattern. Though it is very appropriate for next friday's fun shirt festivities.

why couldent you have done something crazy stupid like that when I was still living with you? would have been a crazy better timing.

just kidding just kidding.

same hand that your getting surgery on for your wrist?

thats harsh mason, pay better attention next time :P

but thats good that you still have feeling in your thumb.
