its coming!! i have a huge list of people whosaid they would go.. The boreal jihad is a NS reunion sorta, were gonna basically just ski the park and take over boreal the first sat it is open. i'll get photos up as soon as I can of all the new rails/boxes we're building for Boreal. We just got the steel on Tues and I've locked my self up in the weld bay. i'm looking at 11 new funboxes and 15 new rails for this winter. Opening day will be sick!

opening moved up to tomorrow THURSDAY !!

I was able to put up the rainbow and cbox for opening. was hoping for more but our power was out for most of the day and couldn't put the finishing touches on several of the new rails but they will be out on Friday!

i went, it was ok . I got bored real quick so i went to town then came back and rode switch the rest of the time. The weather was nice but i dont understand why only one lift was open.

meh, just the bottom. The high spped quad wasnt open but who knows it might be tom. I hope it is for your sake. Go anyways they prob will put more stuff out tonight, Mudflap hit us with some info.

who cares anyways..its october...you should just be happy to be skiing and not so concerned about looking cool.

 
here's the scoop. The quad to the top is still under going previously scheduled mataince in anticapting our regularly scheduled opening of oct 31st. this storm has messed up the whole schedule. the lift maintance department is doing everything possible to get it running and CERTIFIED for SATURDAY, there is a decent chance that it will start running sometime late on friday(but dont quote me on that!). you have to understand that these maintance schedules and certifications were set many months ago in relation to our scheduled opening on OCT 31st. This was an unexpected storm and we are doing everything possible to open as early as we can. To compound the problem we were with power from 12 noon wed to about 11 am today. A major transformer/substation on donner summit went down yesterday. Without power we couldn't do much of anything during that time. This morning the chair that was running was doing so on desiel backup until normal power was restored.

Me and mack drove by ans saw that there were no new jib's out, so were like fuck this so we went over to alpine and jibbed like allday with a very cool group of snowboarder's and a few ski'rs. It was very kick back and a lot of fun. We had a 12 ft flat, 10 ft C box and a 12 foot flat box. Lot's O' fun.

Yeah the 36 bucks hurt me to thats another reason. The rails that were stacked against a tree on thursday were still there so i assumed they didnt put anymore stuff out. ehh i had a good day anyway's.

if you look closely at those rail/boxes the legs are 3 ft tall and if you hadn't noticed there isn't enough snow to properly set them up. Be patient..it's only late OCT! I have them staged so they can put up right away once snowmaking gets into full swing or we get another dump.

 
everything else was fun, the old lift tower at lookers left was fun, riding off it, nice little drop, then down through the crud sometimes alomst powder, then through the 'park' - c box was super fun.... thans mudflap

yeah . But where? If alpine is open i will be alll over that, I dont like boreal and since that article about it beeing open was in the SF chronicle every asain within 200 miles will be there. MUDFLAP. fire that lift guy with the beard, he gave me shit for having my lift ticket stuck on over another old ticket , It was secure but he kept fucking with me then said go get another wicket. FUCKING FAG he was just trying to be power hungry like a liftie is an important job.. If you get him fired then i will go to the jihad, that really pissed me off today and ruined my concentration.. and ill give you 50 buck's. We tried to say hi but you were on the phone and we wanted to ski.

Hey guys,

Sorry, can't don anything about the lifties. You wouldn't beleive what crazy stuff people try to pull over on them to get up the lift without paying. They are just a bit jaded by all the scammers..it's nothing personal..and I dont think they are power trippin or anything like that. Just think how you would act if by 11am you have had to deal with a dozen kids trying to poach the lifts. They just get a little short with people on the bad days. Anyways..with this storm coming in and our current lack of snow to add anything new I'm taking the next few days off. Gonna go hangout with Iberg at his world premiere in Salt Lake and see what WSk is all about. I cant beleive the trash people are talking on this forum about his movie. I've had to hold myself back from replying until I actually see the movie. One thing I can say is that Iberg has given so much of himself to the sport and has not once asked for or received anything in return..he does it for the pure love of skiing. Ooops of topic..will back after the strm clears out and hopefull will be able set up new stuff for the weekend. If I'm on the phone next time just throw a snow ball my way..I'm on the phone way too much lately anyways when I should be in the garage finishing up the new rails!

And Nick, get over it. We are going to the Jihad. Lief and I will run interference between the liftie and you so you won't get your feelings hurt. And look at it this way, at least now you have something to declare Jihad against.

Wski is okay....Amazing editing and not enough skiing. Silva and CR take it down....I just thought Raps and all the commercials were annoying. It had a cool concept but i felt like i was watching tv and not a movie that i am supposed to spend $20 on.
