Boots Sizes

So I have been wondering for a while now... What would the average size for your skiboots be? It seems weird to me that the most threads at B/S/T always have skiboots around size 28.5

Arent there any people with bigger feet? :P

I for myself have 31 Full Tilts and they were fuckin hard to get because everyone told me they are sold out everywhere....

yeah well Im also 6'4" :P but I was wondering, since everyone told me they were sold out in whole europe (full tilts) and all boots I see going for sale here are size 29 max :P

Aye I'm in the same boat, boot size around 30. Sucks because its hard to find that size sometimes, but it can be sweet when shopping for last years gear because the really big and really small sizes tend to be whats leftover. At least we don't snowboard, when I do I pretty much require a wide board or my toe drags.

wow what size do you normally wear like for street shoes? because lots of people size down for ski boots, including myself. i wear like a 12.5 US for running shoes and sperrys and stuff but my ski boots are 28/28.5

have your foot measured, then take your mondo foot size and subtract 1 cm for comfort fit and 2 cm for performance fit. that is the size boot you should be in.

I measure to a 25.5 and i ski a 23.5 not that half sizes are real.

better yet, go see a bootfitter and just listen to what they have to say because if you go somewhere reputable they will know what they are talking about

doesnt it feel good to have your foot squished in to a boot though? my shoes are 10s, my feet roughly measure 9.5, and im rocking 26.5s. everyone whines when they can touch the ends of their boots with their toes like it's the worst thing to be able to 'FEEL THE END OF MY BOOTS AHHHH", but to be honest, when you get out there and they're getting broken in and you're flexing them a lot, your heels pull back. the last thing i'd want is my foot sliding around when im skiing. shit's gotta be snug. same with my hockey skates. i'd rather feel a bit of pressure to have it snug rather than loose and comfy. it's not a slipper. and when you're skiing or skating, you wont notice the pressure of how tight they feel, you're just going to notice how awesome it feels to have shit that you can control.

so either you have a size 14 foot, or you're just one of those kids who wears shit too big.

this, my bf is a bootfitter and he says if your eyes dont bulge out slightly when you put your foot into the boot at the store than it's too big, it's gunna break in, and you can always make a boot bigger, but not much you can do if the boot is too big.

Well Im not to familiar with the US Boots sizes for reg shoes. I have about 46 German shoe size. And I did go to a bootfitter, I couldnt get my feet in any smaller boots with skiing socks on.

It goes by mondo size which for the most part should be standardized on the measuring thing. But socks make all the difference they should be as thin as possible!

I can feel you Oo was fucking hard to get my boots.... I had to go to a shop like 5 hours away from where I live to get them

I have that awkward sized foot.

I can rock a 26.5 with a TON of work and more or less be in discomfort all day every day or I can rock a 27.5 and have it feel slightly roomier. Not sure if thats getting used to it or not. I could put my old 26.5 shells on and not enough room to fit a pinkie finger behind my heel. Yay racing.

This. I see so many people say my feet get cold so I buy bigger socks. That and te half sizes are the biggest misconception in ski boots. I ride a 28.5.

this, when I first went shopping for boots I figured I would need like a size 31, walked into the store and fitted ne into a 28. blew my mind a few Yeats ago

I ride a 27, but Salomon sizing is particular, so I'd probably wear bigger boots with another brand.

Inb4 foot and cock sizes are related.

I measure to 25.5 but i wear a 23, can't buy park boots can barely find decent women's boots which is almost an oxymoron. More important to have a proper fitting boot than a "park" boot.

depends on last, instep, etc. like the ghosts are something like 98mm last but the spk's are way way wider.

Im not saying there arent a lot of people wearing bigger boots than they should, but I couldnt get my feet in any boot of a smaller size with any reasonaly measures and I wasnt wearing super thick socks

25.5/26.5/27.5 always sells out first. Seems to be a majority of men's feet are around that size.

If you really measure to a 46 then you should be able to get your foot into a 30 easily, performance ski in a 29. Ski boots aren't super comfortable, especially at first, you just have to have faith and be willing to put in the time for boot work.

That's a big foot regardless.

I know ski boots arent very comfortable :P but I wont wear boots, that require 2 people to help pressing my foot in every time I want to put them on ^^

Actually after rechecking it, I have size 30.5 :D

i wear a 9 shoe or a 27 i believe. I ride a 25.5 boot though. My feet to get a little cold but its literally ultimate control. no slop in the boot

I wear 12 US men shoes and wear 27.5 SPK's 317mm. I crammed my feet in there and got em molded fit's real nice. To tell if a boot is too small just take out the liner, if you're foot isnt swimming in there than it's def too small.

im 6'4 too and i have a 27.5 boot.. so your feet are fucking huge.

i once tought i had a big foot and my first pair of boots were 29.5s, didnt know my shit back then and gone down 2 sizes.

Not talkin about u here, just a common mistake

well till now (since we still dont have snow here in europe really) I had no possibiltiy of shredding in my new boots. SInce I basically just started with doing park stuff until now, I had some beat up, old as shit boots. I do hope the new ones will be as awesome on skis as they felt at the shop/ my home ;)
