Boots rubbing

I just bough some used Lange fr 120s last years. I have foot beds that are new, and i have only skied on them twice. I shredded on them today and it was pretty uncomfortable. Everything seemed tight and my the side of my pinkie toe has a huge lump on it now. I got them fitted and the dude said they should be fine, is it just that i have to break them in? or do they not fit. plus what should i do about my bump on my foot, shit hurts.

they are prolly still packing in, if you have a boot warmer/heater, put em on it for a while then walk around in em for a little. that will help em break in faster

try skiing in them once or twice more. if it's just as bad take it back to the shop and get them to do some boot work. heat fit the liners first if possible, or if you've done that already just get them to make a few punches.

Yeah i haven't got them heated, but im going to shred on them one more day, and if there still rubbing all take them in

if there is rubbing that usually means to much empty space so try tightening them or wearing bigger socks, that or the boot doesn't really fit you

they're probably too big. if you're feet are moving around and chafing in spots, its because they're too roomy. everybody now a days thinks their feet are way bigger than they actually are. fuckin little kids wandering into shops with size 12 skate shoes thinking that's how big their boots should be. but if they're simply jamming your toes in, just wait for em to pack out. especially if they're expensive, quality boots. they're designed for performance, not comfort. if you're looking for a slipper, perhaps try an activity like vacuuming floors or dusting shelving units.

dude, they are partly designed for comfort...people buy the boots that are the most comfortable and allow they to perform the best of skis...its not all about performance because you cant perform with discomfort

yes, but a boot that's too big and feels uber comfortable in the shop will feel like shit when you start skiing in them. If it's too big you'll get a lot of rubbing, banging your toes against the ends on landings, your feet can cramp like crazy since the muscles are working overtime to keep control of the boot, etc etc. A boot that's too small in a few places is usually really easy to fix, and if you've tried to fix a boot that's too big, it's a complete bitch
