Been on the Dalbello Krypton Rampages since like 2007. I have the White/Brown pair. All my skis since then have been, Volkl Walls, Rossi Scratch, 2 Pairs of Volkl Da'Nollies. I'm looking at getting the Line Blends from last year while also keeping my latest pair of Da'Nollies. I am a pretty aggressive skier, nothing crazy in the park - toning it down just some 3's, 5's and rarely do rails anymore (im 28 and have a lot of responsibility at work ha)

I'm looking at the Dalbello Il Moro MX which has a flex 90 (can get proform)

Also looking at some FullTilts since everyone and their brother has them, they must be good. I'm not sure how the flex system works and if I need the First Chairs or should I get the Descendants? I see you can swap flex toongues? If so, I like the First Chair aesthetic more and what would be your rec on a tongue? I'm assuming a 6 or 7 is close to a flex 90 in Dalbello. Not sure I want anything over 110 tbh.

I hardly EVER ski powder btw.

not descendants, i meant Drop Kicks

The il Moro MX is nothing like the Krypton. It shares the shell that the Boss used. If you want a boot built around the same last that you have, get the il Moro (not MX)

can you elaborate on that a little?

As always go see a fitter if possible, your feet will pick. That being said the Il Moro MX has a 103 last, it's wider, has a far different shape than the rampage (krypton) shell (the Il Moro MX is effectively the old boss shell with a few tweaks) it's also got a totally different flex pattern, ramp and forward lean, totally different boot. If you've been happy with your rampages I'd say stay in the krypton shell and jump into the Krypton 110 (this replaced the rampage) or get into the regular Il Moro. Both are 98mm last, same as your rampage and have a near identical fit. The Il Moro only being different in ramp angle and forward lean angle (less ramp, more upright, different boot boards in the bottom of the boot).

As far as Full Tilt goes the descendant shell is 102mm last, if you fit in the rampage no problem you'll be swimmin' in the descendant shell. You'll wanna go with the classic shell. This leaves you with either the Wallisch pro, First Chair Six or Classic. Wallisch and First chair will feel a little stiffer on account of a stiffer liner. (Wallisch maybe a hair stiffer than the First Chair Six but nothing too noticeable).

As far as whether you want to be on the stiffer side of things or the soft, that'll depend on which tongues you were running on your rampages, whether you were running booster straps (if so which ones) and if that was what you liked or if you're wanting to change things up. Lemme know that and I can point you in a more specific direction.

Personally I'd say if the Rampage (krypton) shell works for you, than stick with it. Less complicated that way.
