Boots for wide feet?

alright im looking for new boots, but it seems most boots are fitted for more narrow feet, so my question is which boots are you kids with wide feet using? i remember trying on a pair of 1080s years ago, and they fit very nicely, but i havent tried anything on since then really.

anybody have any suggestions?

spk! spk! does not matter what your problem is or where youl be skiing! spk! spk! solves all problems. yeah spk! spk!

sam-

try some nordicas or technicas

I have fucking wide feet and the only brand that fits me comfortably is Saloman. check out what they have to offer.

i have wide feet and i had my boots punched, but to get it done properly i think it costs more money, same with custom boots.

this past season i had langes...worst decision ever. skiing wasnt always fun, and my feet would but numb with pain sometimes, but im thinking of salomons for next season, i just dont want a soft park boot tho

nordica beast is a 101mm last from memory

salomon xwaves are 98 or 100

and the SPK is 106mm

they don't make the beast anymore. the beast 10 is like 100. and is it true the spk is 106? thats crazy

and what kind of skiing do you do? that would help with the suggestions

most salomon's are wide, with the race boots being the exception, but one thing ive noticed with my foils, and have heard it about other solly boots is that the area for the calf is not that big, so it can be a tad tight for those that have big calfs (like me).

alright so the general consensus seems to be the SPK for wide feet. although they look cool and whatnot, how stiff are they? im looking for a wide boot, but it has be pretty stiff. im 6'2"ish 190 lbs and i ski hard. im not riding the park that much during the year, mostly ripping chutes, cliffs, trees and steeps. i usually hit the park later in the season or when theres not a whole lot of fresh.

the spks could possibly be the worst boot for you in your situation. look into the salomon foils, i thought they made a foil gun too.

Im not sure how wide the Salomon GUN boot is, but it seems like it would fit ur criteria perfectly. Big mountain, chutes and whatnot. Spk is the worst boot u could get for ur skiing alothough it is wide. it doens;t fit what ur skiing at all. Check out the Gun boot, but its quite pricey

if you are looking for a wide high performace boot look at the Lange Fluid 120. it is extremely wide and quite stiff. you can get it in a 100 flex as well.

the xwave last is 104mm wide in a 26. this is the same boot as foil/1080. the beast is still being made but it is the supercharger or whatever lame ass name nordica gave it (the bright green ones)

the diablo series from tecnia isnt as wide a the salomons and fluid series from lange

where are you guys getting the width of the boot (in mm)? i went to salomons site and i cant seem to find specs like that..?

^ exactly, and the buyers guides usually have them. the width changes from size to size by a mm or 3 but they usually give for a 26 or 27

the gun is based on the falcon shell. its actually not narrow. just a mm narrower than the foil/xwave. the heel is tighter and there is a lot less room above the foot. this boot has a lot less volume but is not really narrower. good for thin wider feet

any good shop will guarantee the fit of their boots. go in and see a bootfitter. they will choose a boot based on the info you give them and custom fit it to your foot.

if it's a good shop they will not charge you for the extra work

a 26 and 26.5 mondopoint sized shell are the exact same. you'd be surprised at how little the boot is actually changed in between half sizes

i have a pair of spk pros if anyone wants to trade. they are 26.5s and i need a bigger boot like 27 or 27.5 tops and i also need a wide boot anyone up for trades
