Bootfitting

I've never been bootfitted (yea, I think I just made that up) before. Does it usually cost money, even if you go on to buy the boots from the shop?

go to a reputable shop in your area and ask one of the older guys if they can help you with boots.

The bootfitting process doesn't generally cost money but I think it's bad form to go in there and waste an hour of the fitters time if you are intending to buy them elsewhere

oh yeah that's low, only get fitted if you intend on actually buying boots if you find good ones.

Oh no doubt, I think I gave the wrong impression in my OP. If I get fitted then I will definitely buy from the shop.

Thanks for the help

Fit one guy for an hour and a half today, and at the end he was not planning on buying from us. I had to turn on the charm and kiss ass to get him to change his mind. I would have pulled out my pocket knife right there and killed him, if he did not.

what are you talking about? the sizing, initial fit and selecting a boot? Thats free.

the actual boot modifications (grinding/cutting/footbeds/liners/punching/canting/stretching etc. etc) that is charged labor if you did not buy the boots from us.
