Bootfits?

Wheres the best place in the Vancouver/Whistler area to get a good bootfit done? I've had bad luck with all my past boots and I want to get it done right! Thanks.

I got my boots from Destination in North Van, I thought they did a fairly good job

IN whisitler there was a place right beside TMC cant remember the name but I was very impressed with their knowledge jsut super expensive.

Before you pay for another bootfit anywhere, go into McCoos in whistler and talk to George McConkey. He has been fitting the likes of Shane, Steve Podborski and anyone who is an anyone in skiing since the eighties. He only does full fits from the shell inwards and yes it's expensive but he guarantees the boots throughout their entire life and estimates that his average fit sees more than 300 days on their boots before they need to upgrade anything. He will without a doubt revolutionize the way you think your boots should fit and the intuition liners that he creates with tongue support, over arch support and heel supports will ensure your boots fit like a sock. I was lucky enough to have my boots done by him earlier this season and they are the most valuable thing in my possession now without a doubt. But don't take my word for it, go check it out yourself.

Snowcovers Vancouver and The Destination (Mel and Paul) both have knowledgable bootfitters, or you could try John C at the Creekside Can-Ski.

I can't comment on George at McCoo's but I've heard nothing but good things about the guys work.

thanks for the good advice everyone! ive heard great things about George at McCoo's too... so ill have to check that out first I think.

Anyone out farther in the Fraser Valley I can recommend the guys at MadDogs in Abbotsford. Don't remember the older guy's name there, but he does a damn good job.

Yeah, Laslo is his name. Used to work with him actually... crazy old guy haha. But yeah he's pretty knowledgeable.

you said it best 'he revolutionizes the way you think your boot should fit'..... night and day difference between my old boots and my new ones. So comfortable. I don't even think about my feet while skiing anymore, they are like slippers. so comfy. so worth it.

k cool thanks man, that gives me more incentive! ill have to check this out, because im constantly groaning and thinking about my feet
