Does anyone know if you can get viruses when using bootcamp, or any other softwares that let you use microsoft on your mac?

thanks

yep
you're basically having a pc computer, so viruses are fair game.
I don't think they will infect your mac partition though, maybe jsut the bootcapmp one? i hope...

That's why i never surf on the internet using parallels or bootcamp...too risky

Yea man. bootcamp is full blown windows which means it fully blows! haha j/k. But bootcamp is great for games or anything that you don't need to use regularly or sync stuff with leopard with. If you need to use it regularly or share files you're gonna want to use parallels. But it definitely can get viruses so be careful...wrap it before you surf it!

yea, seeing as i've been on mac my entire life, what are the best virus scanners? or whatever you need....

If you use bootcamp is it just like having a windows pc in front of you, no difference? Or are there some disadvantages/ limitations?

There are no differences between running a windows computer and running bootcamp on a mac. When you are using bootcamp you are running a full on copy of windows and your mac is officially a PC. And you can still get all the viruses and crap that goes along with it, there is no extra protection, so make sure to get a digital condom for you mac.

sweet shit, thanks. that's very good to hear. well except for the viruses, but I'm running windows right now so that's always been a part of using a computer.. no big deal to get some virus software for it.
