Boot Sizing

Allright, I am a size 12 shoe, and have been floating around in 30.5 boots for like 2 seasons (worst shinbang ever, im a fucken idiot) They are definitely not my right size. However, I just got my foot sized and the dude told me i was a 28.5 which is a 10 1/2 foot size...

Now my question is, how come ski boots should be much smaller then ur original foot size, or is it just different for everyone?

naw man. i have been rocking a 29.5, and that was too big for me. this year i got some 28.5's. should be much better. i usually wear like a 12-12.5 shoe. it pretty much has nothing to do with shoes in my opinion. its all about finding a boot that fits just right. good luck with that. hopefully my new boots will get rid of my shin-bang too! :)

Different for everyone and every boot company. Have them shellsize you with whatever boot you are considering then put the liner back in and wear the boots around the store for 15 minutes. It should be a bit tight with new boots but you shouldn't be numb or in agony.

It is what I would do if it were me. It's not me and neither are you.

yeah i was on some lange jib boots 30.5 for like 2 seasons and i just felt like i was floating around em them, i got the worst shinbang possible it ended my season like 2 months early last year cause i could barely walk

But, I went to the shop and had the dude size me into some 1080 boots and i was a 28.5 and they felt pretty damn good, ended up getting last years model for like 200 bucks

Is my actually skiing goin to be alot different with the correct boots now you think?

i am in the same situation, as i stated above. i pray to god that it will help my shin-bang. and i am also expecting it to effect my skiing in a positive way too.

as someone who fits boots to people all the time my recomendation is to get measured on a mondo point scale. Whatever youre foot measures un weighted(sitting down) Try that size on! Then go down from there as much as you can. Fact of the matter is ski boots get big, no matter how tight they feel in the store, usually about a half size or more. I usually go down 1 or 2 sizes!!!! One important thing to rember is boots can be stretched, so that little pain you feel on youre big toe can be resolved very easaily by any shop that knows what there doing.

The reason you are measured in a 28.5 is because your actual foot size isa ten and a half not twelve like you think it is. Everyone wears shoes ten times to big for them.
