just a quick question, if i wear size 11 to 11.5 shoe what size of ski boot would i wear, im switching from boarding to skiing thats why i ask

i wish there was a straight answer but, you have to try them on. I started out with Salomon SPKs and my Full TIlts are a completely different size.

11 "converts" to 29.5. The problem with that is I wear size 13 shoes and have 29.5 boots. Just go to a shop and get fitted.

i have a size 11 shoe and wear 27.5 boot but they are a little to small. The guy at the shop will fit you unless you are trying to buy online. (witch buying online sucks dont do it)

It's pretty typical to go down a size or two when you get your ski boots. Remember that boots aren't supposed to be all that comfortable at first, you have to watch out for awkward pressure points and whatnot but don't expect them to fit like shoes or snowboard boots.

A poor fitted boot -- one that isn't a tight fit around your foot-- translates to a poor connection between you and your skis. A custom foot bed is pretty desirable yet expensive especially if you're just switching over. I'm leaning away from suggesting a surefoot or generic foot bed on the grounds that if you're going to get one you ought to go all out -- maybe other ns'rs will say otherwise. Still remeber that a footbed regardless shrinks your foot profile so if you're boots are too big you can't throw one in there to make it fit better.

what boots are you thinking about getting?

People also usually buy they're shoes a size or two larger than their foot is. My foot size is 11.5 = 29.5's. My boots are 29's, and my shoes are 12's and 13's. It's usually more comfortable to have a little larger shoe than a proper fitting shoe. Whereas ski boots need to be your foot size, not shoe size.

Go see a bootfitter.

go to a boot fitter, but i wear a 12/13 and have a 28.5 size boot. so maybe a 28, becuase when you first start out you dont want them extremely tight cause they do take some getting used to.
