Boot Recommendation

I'm 6'0 205. I will be working Foils this year park/all mountain on the East Coast. What boots should I go with? I prefer to go back to Salomon but maybe not.

Last 2 years I've been using super stiff Atomic Race boots on a pair of 1080's. They are good midday on warm days but other than that they are terrible. If I'm tired or it's really cold, or I don't feel like skiing too hard they are annoying. They also seem too stiff on landings especially switch but I really have nothing to compare to, as I never ski'd twin tips with any other boot.

I need a boot that's comfy to land on, but I won't overpower making turns. I definitely ski hard sometimes, but other times I like to just hit jumps and hang in the parks, ect.

Recs?

sounds like the foils may be the boot for you. i would say spk but from your description it sounds like they will be too soft. I would also recommend you try on some technica, either the flame or magnesium. I rode those for two years and was very happy with their performance.

the most important thing for boots is getting fit. make sure you go to a legit boot fitter. they will measure your foot and let u try on many pairs to see what fits the best. dont go by looks, try em on and see what feels good.

It's hard to find a perfect do-it-all boot, I like my salomon gun boots for pretty much everything, but they still could a little more chushiony in the park and I find them a little soft out of the park. They're still pretty good as far as letting me do everything without being miserable. Any boot like the foil, diablo flame, lange fr, etc. should work ok so see which company fits best. pretty much every company makes a "freeride" boot that would work for you. you'll probably overpower them out of the park, but if you ski at least 50% park it's still worth it.

Go to a bootfitter.

Get fitted for boots.

Not every boot made fits every foot right so you have to see what boots fit you foot.

On second thought, just by the SPK...its got the most hype so it must be good.
