Boot question

ok, say if i bought a pair of skis and bindings and i got them mounted with the boot size of 29.5 and say if i was going to buy new boots and want a smaller size like 28 or something, is it possible to set my bindings to 28 without having to taking out the bindings and drilling a new hole?

depends on lots of stuff, mostly the two boots you're switching between. If you're going from a race boot to a park boot no prob they'll probably have similar sole lengths, but if its like the same exact boot but different size that may be problematic... only one way to find out!

i don't know what kind of boot mine is but its diffenetely not a racing boot or park boot, its like rental boots lol and im switching that to park boots

Alright, I don't know for certain if this will work, but my old bindings (salomon S8 10 Ti) seem to be made the same way. If you look at the back of the heel piece you should see a silver plate, if you get something like a flathead screw driver and push this plate up, you should be able to move the heel piece a couple inches. Lemme know if this helps!

depends on the boot sole length not the boot size or the binding. Some boots in a 29.5 would be the same as a 28. (in an extreme case) If your bindings were set up properly, the foreward pressure should be fine. theyll just move the heel piece up.

You are only giving the boot size and what you need is the sole length. However, it doesent seem like that big of a change. If they mounted ur skis correctly the first time they would have set it up so that you could adjust some both ways with out redrilling.

Well before you go about fucking up your bindings look at sole length, it is different for each company so a 28 solamon will not have the same sole length as a 28 Lange, And so you will need your bindings to beable to adjust to the new sole length, then you need to check forward presure, do you know how to do that? becuase if not you will either have to much and smash your tow piece or to little and come out really easaily. So if you are not sure if you can do all of the above take them to your shop and have them adjust them for your.

As long as there is enough room for the binding to slide forward to accommodate your size 28 boot.

my axial2 140's on my scratch bc's were mounted to a 30.5 and i moved down to a 29 and they were fine. same as the p18's on my atomic tweaks
