Boot problems

so i know there are a million threads on boot problems. but i looked and couldnt find anything on womens boots.

ive had my boots since the beginning of last season and i loved them. they were so awesome last year. but today, my second day in them this season, they hurt so bad i could only ski a couple runs. i have had a bunch of surgeries on my feet and have custom footbeds and have had my boots punched and everything so they fit perfect. but today it felt like the top of my feet were getting smashed and my ankle bones got really bruised. they didnt hurt as bad when i was leaning forward but as soon as i stood up straight it was super painful.

does anyone have any tips/ideas for what to do or what could be wrong? or suggestions for any other boots to try?

have you had surgery since you wore them last year? or was that before you got them?
if they were fine last year and nothing has changed (surgery or whatever) try giving them a few more days to get your feet used to it. my feet always hurt the first few days of the season because my foot isn't used to it or whatever.
however what your describing sounds like it might be something else. either way, try them a few more times before you get new boots.

Boots are supposed to be comfortable when you are flexing them forward, not when you are standing in them straight, or walking in them

I think thats an issue with many kids who only ski park. The design of boots is really around the skier constantly being in that forward lean position, which more often than not isn't how park skiers stand in their boots

ive had two surgeries in the past year... one was in january and i skied like a month after in these boots and they felt great, no problems at all. and then i had another one in june and skied a few times over the summer and got them punched a little bit but then they felt great. i know my feet havent grown at all. and they were really comfy boots, standing/walking/whatever, they never were uncomfortable or anything.

ive also been thinking about getting the intuition liners but i dont know much about them.

Kristen, all you need to know about those liners is GET THEM.

have them molded at a competent shop though, they can be a challenge to mold properly.

Dunno what your rockin for boots but my rampage's were extremely comfy at first and then liner went very fast. Got em at christmas and by spring break they were packed out to shit. I started to feel it on my shins, sloppy ankles, and the top of my toes.
I snagged a pair of id's and havent had any problems since. You get alot more flexibility out of how they fit when you mold them. Its hard for me to give you advice wit your surgeries and such but definitely see a bootfitter and look into silver id's if its somethin your thinkin about. They're pretty awesome plus the silver's are a lil softer, more comfortable, and forgiving than the golds. so word up and good luck

^sturtevants?

i went skiing today and took my footbeds out and they felt wayyy better, kinda weird.

oh and +k to everyone who has helped so far. thank you!

i'd suggest going back to your boot fitter sounds like a couple possiblilities from the surgeries something could have changed in your foot during the healing process, not sure what was done, something in the boot could have shifted, like a vargus wedge, or heel lift. or the boot has broken and and needs futher adjustments, this can happen too. good luck
