Boot Help

Hey, a bit of a stickler. I have funny lookin feet. I have a normal heel, and a WIDE toe box, and fairly wide midfoot, and a very very high volume arch. I have yet to find a boot that fits my feet. I want a boot with about 100-120 flex, and I was wondering of anyone had suggestions. I have found the Dalbello three pieces VERY tight around the ankle, and some atomic boots don't have the toe room I need. I don't have enough money for custom fitting, so I need something that will kinda go with the flow. Thanks.

I have Dolomite Rage x8s from a couple of years ago, but need something a lil better.

if you get new boots you shouldn't need to spend extra money for the fitting. a good shop should be able to a) recomend a boot that will match your foot shape b) include necessary adjustments to make the boot fit properly

I buy boots online, usually used, for ridiculously small amounts of money, forgoing professional help. I was looking at Technica Agent 120, and Rossignol Radical Pro boots. Can anybody compare these? I can do a small amount of grinding, etc. on my own, but I was wondering if anybody can tell me how these fit?

Boots are the most important part of your setup,if your feet are not happpy you are not going to enjoy your day as much. The internet can't help you decide on a boot since people have different shaped feet. DON'T listen to the morons that recommend getting SPK's or Full Tilt or Dalbello, they don't know what your foot looks like and they sure as hell don't know how to do a proper fitting to get you into the right boot. Visit as many shops as you can, have them do the measurements, your show size has absolutely nothing to do with ski boots. If a boot tech asks let them know that you want to get measured the proper way. eventually a shop will have the boot you NEED.

O_o Dude, I maw sound like a newb to yous, but really, I just wanted to know some midfoot/toe volume and width on the Agent 120 and the Rossi boots, Thanks, though. I have tried a couple boots on, I like Rossi fit, and Technica okay, I was just trying to figure out if the Agent or the radi pro were any different from the standard of their respective companies. And by the way, I know that SPK, Dalbello, and Full Tilt, are all much to narrow at the ankle. Thanks though.

the mighty Elvis says Thank you, Thank you, verrrr much.

The agents will provide you with a little more room in the arch area and will have a slightly more generous toe box than the dalbellos. You could also look at the dalbello surge 110. Its a 100 last I believe, with a bit roomier overall fit.

well, I found a free solution. I created a Franken-boot, using the shell of my Dolomite x8, and the liner from my Atomic Plug boot. The liners from the Dolomite boots were severly packed out, and the plug liners were tighter fitting, and still poofy. My boots are now awesomeness.
