BOOT HELP

Like most people will say, just go to a boot fitter and try some stuff on.

But.... for a narrow boot, I definitely recommend Full Tilt. The Hot dog if you ski a lot of park, and some all mountain, or the high Five if you rip everything, all over. Super light, amazing flex, comfy liner, cool company.

 
get SPK's, everyone else has them and loves them, so you should to. just buy them online to your shoe size too.
 
I would definitley get the Konflict over the Hot Dogger or the High 5. Only because if you get the Konflict, you get both a stiff plate for big mountain, and a soft plate (same soft plate that you get with the Hot Dogger). THe Konflict also has an upgraded liner, and unlike the HIgh 5, the Konflict has a rubber boot board instead of a rigid plastic boot board (hot dogger also has rubber boot board).
 
That is an over generalization. Most Langes are narrow, but the Fluid series isn't narrow (except in the heel)..why not be more specific?
 
i have a narrow foot and ive worn the dalbello krypton cross for the last 2 years and their absolutiely ridiculous and u can adjust like a bunch of different stuff on the boot too so its the way u want it. u can change like how much it bends forward and stuff theyre ill
 
why are so many people suggesting dalbello? dalbello's boots range from narrow to fairly wide depending on what model it is. the krypton, which i think most people are trying to refer to, is a narrower boot, but to say dalbello is wrong. however, lange would be fairly correct.

look for anything 95-98mm width. every company has diff models that range so dont just look at the model that you see 3423542 people riding or that you read about. ex, the krypton is just as good as any other dalbello boot with the same flex/other features just with a different shell. it gets a little more complicated then that but i think you get the point.
 
stop throwing numbers out, they really don't mean anything, companies can measure just about any way they want for that, and also there is no set sizze which they use for measuring. boots are race plug, narrow, middle of the road or wide. and then supper wide. no one needs race plug, but if you go in one you will feel like any other boot is a palace affter word.
 
^well every company measures by standard mm's. i dont know of any that uses another measurement for the toe box, so throwing out 95-98mm can only mean 95-98mm, no matter what company you're talking about. if you meant other than that then i completely agree with you.
 
i went from size 6 plugs with a size 9 shoe, to supercharger(98mm last) and they felt so big at first. but i would look at those they are fairly narrow, but not super skinny llike plugs.
 
go to a boot fitter, and dont buy a boot just because its a "park" boot, buy one that feels good on your feet
 
I think what he meant is that just because a Lange is 98 mm and a Dalbello is 98mm doesn't mean they will fit the same. Most langes with a 98mm toebox will fit more narrow in the heels than the Dalbello..and the top of the shell won't be as high on one as the other..(I think it falls lower on the lange)
 
learn how to spell. ^ ...and i have a really slim foot in a 25.5 and i went with salomon. if you look, (and a good boot fitting ski shop will know this), the falcon shell is really thin and good for really skinny feet. they use the same shell in various models from race to all mtn. to freeski. i would ask about these at your local ski shop but ultimately listen to a good boot fitter at a good ski shop for the best advice.

"the falcon shell is really thin and good for really skinny feet." - you must be talking about the last of the boot here, not the thickness of the shell. You are right, it is a 98mm last..and it is meant for fairly skinny feet, but not super super super skinny feet..even though this is modeled off of their race plug boot.

They use this last in the Salomon Falcon 10 and the Salomon Falcon CS...not in alot of models as you are trying to say. Which means, that they don't have this in ton's of boots, so you cannot claim that it will fit a ton of people..and don't even try to claim that the Salomon Impact is the same boot, because the Impact fits more like old X-waves..but even wider..with a 100mm last in the toe box.

Sorry, I don't mean to be a jerk, but your response sounded really preachy.
 
we'd be able to help you more if you gave us some more info. like what are you gonna be using the boot for, how stiff of a boot do you want...

go check out a couple shops and try boots on! here's a couple reccomendations of generally narrow fitting boots to try on...

nordica supercharger enforcers. have a 100 flex, shock eraser in the bootboard and around the cuff, booster strap.

salomon gun/ falcon. They're the same shell, 98mm last, so pretty narrow. the guns are a 95 flex, shock absorbing bootboard. they;ve got a firm liner in them. and you can get the falcons in different flexes. this year's falcons have a custom moldable shell.

lange freestyle 80's. Got an 80 flex, a gelly shin pad.

 
it really depends on how the boot feels when you put it on. i have a wide foot and ski on rampages. i tried on spks but they did not have them in my size so they were huge. my foot fits almost every boot but lange. just go to a shop and try on a boot from every brand and see which one feels the best

sorry, didn't mean to be preachy. or a jerk to the other guy that i quoted, but i thought that spelling was funny just like he though the other post was funny.

and just trying to relay what i learned while boot shopping. that shell was the best for a super skinny foot that my local shop had which is why i was passing on the info. and like i said a boot fitter definately knows better than i do. i was also told that the shell was the same as was used on the gun from last year, as well as the ones you said. which was why i said several models. but that is just what i was told and could be wrong.

you aren't going to find the information you need to buy boots from newschoolers, just go to a good store with a good bootfitter and try on lots of boots, its like in harry potter when they go wand shopping.
 
hahaha that is the best analogy i've ever heard for boots. its so true tho, once you've got the right boot, you'll know. its just nice to know what options you got
